Empty stomach, full of butterflies,

But in stone it is set.

Nervous hands run up my thighs,
Desperation in an ugly guise.
Virgin lips press against my own.
False hope, false promise, false premise,
I never thought it would come to this.

My shell was cracked, my cover blown.
He had seen me to my core.
He had seen my heart bleed.
I couldn’t let it happen anymore.
