has some very cool lines in his gallery. He allowed me to work this one
The background was pretty loose, as I think he is still working on finishing it, so I chose just to ink the main feature.
Had fun with this..pretty quick from start to finish. Inking hair has always, always been my weakness...so shhh
I'm pretty surprised it came out not too bad Used a .3 micron start to finish.Hope you enjoy.

Im not a fan of the character, I bought the first few issues back in the day, but Im a fan of her her gear, which is wel done, the boots are awesome. Great particularly if there was only one pen used.

Cool work. I don't think it suffers from lack of background. It would actually be kind of interesting to see what a colorist would fill in, maybe overlaying the original sketch. There's such a huge depth difference between the main character and the bg, I think it'd work.
Hair sucks. I've done similar exercises to what Peter suggested. We're in two different mediums technique-wise, but I'll often take a first pass on hair to get the shapes and flow right and then go back in and add weight to certain areas on a second pass.

Inking hair can be challenging....I suggest doing a couple of pages of just hair....or until you start getting the flow right!
