I saw this on the color-me-club, so I used it to practice my coloring. You did a great job with the inking that it really helped me practice coloring. My coloring still kinda sucks, but hey at least it's within the lines... for the most part. [link]

You really did the original piece justice, the inking is smooth and professional looking - the solid blacks are one tone, the lines vary in thickness and put the emphasis on on certain shapes, and as far as I can see there are no smudges or mistakes. Good work! Also, you choose a fantastic piece to ink that choice is as important as the inking itself.

I am trying....
I can see the difference of the lines I am taking on now, as compared to a year ago. Much more confident now, but alas...still so much more to learn!
Thanks so much for the comment I have missed you!

My pleasure to give you feedback! The feeling is mutual, tiz good to see you on DA again, I hope that all is well or getting well.
Ya know after critiquing this I had a dream about inking an artwork - even in my dream it was hard! I feel inspired to try traditional inking one day; my sister has the tools to do it, so I may just give it a go. Your hard work is indeed showing in the results, inking is by no means an easy task - I think many people underestimate how much skill is actually required to do traditional inking.
Keep at it, you're doing great!

I dream about it too! Only cuz i'm at it every spare moment
It is a hard thing to master, between defining light and shape and just sheer control of the tools. I look forward to many years of practice!
Thanks again!
