Description
It has been way to long since my last upload. I'd like to share with you one of my more popular images this year, Titled "Bute Inlet Fishing Hole-Grizzly Bear".
Bute Inlet, cutting into the Coastal Mountain Range of mainland British Columbia, Canada is renowned for it’s majestic mountain vistas, rugged unsettled land and Grizzly Bears. In the fall of 2008 I experienced these bears up close and personal at Orford River; so close at some points it was all I could do to stand my ground. Thank goodness for our Guide and his “bear stick”. With this piece I hope to give you an up close glimpse of this magnificent giant. May they continue to fish these waters long after we leave.
Thank-you for stopping in to see my work.
image is 10x13 in various grades of graphite and carbon on illustration board

Just try to draw what you see when going for the realistic feel.

Thank-you. Its always trial and error when you are tackling something that is new and wet fur was one of those things. I think it came across like I wanted. I'm quite satisfied.
