ah, right. The world's most hated Lego series (HF 1.0). I liked the vilains since they used "true" Bionicle parts as well as new pieces, but the heroes I cannot stand. I also have a slight disliking for how un-creative HF is compared to BIONICLE. The customisation is just...too basic.

You hate 1.0 midgets too? Ya, I totally hate them too. Worst Hero Factory set I find is the upcoming awful Black Phantom. Sad to see that today's sets are "kid friendly".

mhm. After I get Witch Doctor and Rawjaw, I think I'll stop getting HF altogether. This kid friendly crap is a real fail on Lego's part.
THen again, if we think about it, the warning signs were there for a few years. The sets used to be big and complicated, but around after Mahri Nui's saga they suddenly became more simple with the phantoka and mistika...though they were still good. Then came the glatorians and...bleugh. "Hands" were nnice, but the old style hands were much more useful. Not to mention, most sets from around Voya Nui - Stars had easy-to-break connectors - yet all my old pieces are still intact. :/
way to go, lego. You abandoned your best fanbase.
...also, I REALLY wish they had done better with the kanohi packs - I really want loads of Kanohi now!
Additionally, I think they could have made awesome products with the Matoran. Set-wise, there's very few, but I think they should have done this;
6 boxed Matoran sets, Ta, Ga, Po, Onu, Ko, and Le. Each box contained 1 randomly-selected Great or Noble kanohi from any that already existed (save Kraahkan and Avohkii) in any colour that fits the matoran's colour scheme (i.e, Le-Matoran Kanohi could be light green, dark green or turqoise). Additionally certain packs could also contain an extra BONUS mask, like a Black Avohkii or a copper Hau. THen, as the years went on they could add more Matoran and masks, like Fe-Matoran, Ba-Matoran and Shadow Matoran.
T_T I wish they'd done that...
I also wish they'd take product suggestions from fans.

Well, I still like Hero Factory. I look forward on buying 2012 sets, for parts mainly.Connectors, I don't want to start on those parts. Ya, Kanohi are valuable parts, since we all love them. I agree, Lego really should have listened fans and improve from them. But no, they just do there way.
I was by far pleased with Bionicle sets, but a bit more would been great.

Especially if they returned to pre-05. The Toa Mata through to the Hordika were the best. I'm still searching for the old Rahi.
Also, after seeing the 2012 sets, I'm still not amused. Though it seems they've gone back to the glatorian-style masks. I still don't like those. I barely consider them masks. I hope they go back to front-connecting ones which we can use on Bionicles. They still suie Zarmour Sphere launchers too, WTF?

True, I have almost full collection of first 5 years of bionice. Ya, but i am ok with 2012 sets. Well at least Heroes seem to have new launchers.

I didn't see anything new. Just silly Zarmours with a slightly altered Midak Skyblaster.
I'm going to devote part of my life to gathering as many classic bionicles as I can, then dismantling some and building new ones. I want the Nui-Jaga, the Kane-Ra and Muaka, the Manas, the TOa Mata, more Bohrok (as if I need them), all the kanohi (but I can't find anywhere to get all 36...) and of course a new Makuta Teridax.

well, if I had a credit card or Paypal account (IOW if I was older), it would be easy. But being too young to get a PP account or CC, I can't buy the ones I have found as I please... T_T
