This picture is somewhat bittersweet. It started out as fanart for Modesty [link] - I was trying to draw Antoine, but then it looked a little too elfin, so I tried drawing Aidern instead ... but then I randomly added wings on whimsy ... and then it turned into something that looked like a cross between my character Aegis, and Modesty's character Demonycus. So I'll just call him a fallen angel and leave it at that o.ORelated content

He even glows red when he's surrounded by purple clouds >_>;;; That's what happens when you decide the background at the last minute ... and do the backlighting as the first thing o.O

I meant to put more of a comment on this. 
I like the scaley/hairy arm things too. The details of the character is absolutely astounding. Puff of cold breath, little teeth, odd angles. I really like the tail, although the fire kinda looks a bit bubbly. 
You've really improved in posing action and foreshortening.

^__^ Thanks, Mod. The thingies on his arms are supposed to be feathers ... prolly shoulda given them highlights and stuff but by the end of this pic ... I kinda didn't want to go through all that o.O
Wheee ... bubbly fire! Wonder if it tastes good? It turned out that way because I couldn't figure out how to make the fire as cartoony as the rest of the pic ... without that outline it just didn't match the rest of the picture. He wasn't going to have a firey tail at first ... it was going to be more like a lion's. But then I changed my mind at the last minute!
I really tried to make him more dynamic ... the original sketch had him with the back foot outstretched, as if he was jumping off it. But then I decided to make him flying in midair, so it's supposed to look as if he's pushed off with that back foot ... or at the very least twisting his body, preparing to launch his gigantic snowball.
Wooo .... just had a nifty idea. We should have a giant art snowball fight!! Like ... I say that my dude is throwing his snowball at ... Seb. Then you get to draw Seb floored or however he'd react. Then you can draw whoever you want throwing a snowball and send it to whoever ... and they draw something and so on ... Though ... I don't know if you'd be up for that. You sound busy ^_^

I'm glad you're inspired to draw again. I've been pretty uninspired since my avalanche of art. Just started drawing again today in earnest and I'm not actually erasing and redrawing everything five gazillion times!! I think it's cause I drew Tak and Kiri. They're always fun to draw.

Thanks. I spent three days on it, off and on. I didn't really keep track. I estimate it probably took me an hour for the sketch and 20 hours on the inking and coloring. Most of that was taken up by the fact that I inked everything in Photoshop using the pen/lasso tool. That always takes me forever.
