Description It's Hitsugaya (from Bleach) and his ice dragon. The dragon took the longest being I added all the lines in Photoshop ... painstakingly using the lasso tool cuz I wanted the lines as smooth as possible. I purposefully made the dragon's lines lighter since he's made a of ice.

If I'm patient enough, I might be able to make a tutorial out of this one.

Whoa, that's cool. I like the way the dragon's head is turning out. ^~^

Yup, the dragon's head is turning out nicer than I thought it would. I'm really glad I took the time to do the lineart on Photoshop, because the head wouldn't look as nice with thick lines around it.

Thanks. I'm starting to love it myself Hitsugaya turned out really nicely (though at first I made his lips too pink and full so he looked like a girl ). The dragon looks fantastic. I've finished most of the head and it looks pretty amazing IMHO XD I'll try and get it done by tomorrow.

Welcome and know your not alone with that I'll think I'm finished save it close it and then open it up again cause I forget to shrink it alot... and I go "Well... how do you call that finished woman?"

I had that happen to me... It's Da's lagging fault! some times you have to refresh the browser

Yeah, it's kinda annoying to have to resize things all the time. Also annoying to have to put watermarks on everything, but given dA's reputation of stealing stuff I feel like I've got to put something on my pics >_>;; Even though there's lots of better artists who they can steal from that don't use watermarks at all.

I know and I have no clue how to put water marks on my art, thou it's not like people are actualy going to steal it...Some day maybe XD by then I'll have figgured it out....

I can make a tutorial on watermarks!! Especially since I accidentally saved over my files with five gazillion layers and ended up with only 3 cuz I flattened everything out. Boo. But seriously, if you have Photoshop it's not too hard to add watermarks. I'm really hungry right now so I must go eat, but you want some watermark making tips, I'd be happy to oblige

really one that would work for photoshop 7.0? I know it's an old verson but it works well for me... I'm just kinda tired of all these tutorials for CE or what ever the late's verson is that's diffrent in 30 diffrent small ways that makes me go "say what?" but I'd honestly aprecate it ^.^

and I don't notice any differnace with layers or no layers... I find it easy to color using a few but I hear people use like 80 and been told it's not enough... I just... don't see a differnace...

Oh, and as for layers... I dunno, layers let you do way more lighting effects. It would have been hard to portray the three different lighting sources in my Axel and Riku pic if I'd only used one layer. I guess layers just gives the artist a lot more freedom ... if you don't like how you shaded something, you can redo it by erasing that layer and reshading. Also, layers gives a somewhat "realistic" feel to things. For example, in real life, you might have yellow lamp light shining on your face. If you use layers, you can replicate this effect by placing a "yellow" layer on top of your "original" painting, make the "yellow" layer into screen or overlay or something, and you will replicate real life. Hopefully that sort of makes sense >_> Maybe I can make a simple layers tutorial too.
