Changelog-
___________

version 1.3.8:

  • Featured:
  • Revised Icons:
  • Fixes:
  • New Icons:

Notes: If the icons don't show up in your menus make sure the .desktop file points to the icon, e.g: Inside Python2.7 .desktop file locate the line Icon= and replace the value with "python" or "python2.7" (without the quotes). So it looks like this:

  • Icon= python - This looks for the SVG file and uses it.
  • Icon=/usr/share/pixmaps/python3.3.xpm - This forces the ugly pixelated python icon.
This is true for those menu entries/applications that don't display the correct icon even though the icon is indeed available in the Nitrux theme. If it still doesn't display the icon please report it as missing, thanks!.

That's a wonderful theme! I did think it has that many icons, really impressive! My only issue is that symbolic icons don't show up.
Good luck!

Thanks, no, there's no symbolic icons yet.

You can make it inherit the GNOME theme while you make your own.

I'd prefer it to inherit Nitrux

Remarkable- those icons are so good they almost look edible! App-candies. XD

Really though, this is a great revision of the idea introduced by the projects mentioned in the description. Solid execution- can't argue with those SVGs.

That.. that wouldn't be a bad idea, hmm App-candies

Thank you very much!.

Dude, no offence, but I'll have to FAVORITE something of yours yet again!

Just applied this theme, I was afraid it wasn't complete enough yet, but it has all my Plank-pinned items so it's good to go!

Excellent alternative to your already-amazing NITRUX iconset.

Well done, I applaud you!

thx very much, money is on the way
installed it in elementary os and everything is fine except the panel icons ... any idea?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DevianTN7k1 In reply to deathride69 [2013-09-13 22:21:33 +0000 UTC]

The panel icons are dark,  give me sometime and I'll make the light version of them. Alternatively you can edit your gtk theme to have the panel in white (or other color).

Thanks for the donation, much appreciated!.

is there a possibility to change the mimetype icons to the elementary ones? when i apply compass i see the gnome mimetype oldschool icons ...

DevianTN7k1 In reply to deathride69 [2013-09-14 19:13:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, edit the index.theme file and add elementary to the "inherits=" line.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

deathride69 In reply to DevianTN7k1 [2013-09-15 00:59:26 +0000 UTC]

did it by putting the elementary mime icons in the compass folder and put the dependent code in the index.theme but your tip is way better, THX again!

Delete the icon-theme.cache file and try again. It may be crashing because of missing icons but I don't know.

the icon for "open folder" is the old gnome icon: s7.directupload.net/images/130…
can you tell me how to replace that with the standard compass folder icon?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DevianTN7k1 In reply to deathride69 [2013-09-14 05:15:42 +0000 UTC]

To replace it well you'd actually need to make the icon for it. Currently there's no icon for it in Compass, I'll add it and update the theme.

found a little "bug": s7.directupload.net/images/130…
can you tell me how to replace this gnome "open" folder? which name should i give the icon PNG and where to place it?

DevianTN7k1 In reply to deathride69 [2013-09-14 04:38:32 +0000 UTC]

An icon named folder-open in /places needs to be done I have yet to add it.

i put an icon named "folder-open.svg" there but nothing happens. could you tell me if the theme is updated?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DevianTN7k1 In reply to deathride69 [2013-09-15 19:13:07 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't show up because the cache file (icon-theme.cache) needs to be updated everytime a new icon is added.

DevianTN7k1 In reply to EddyJuarez92 [2013-08-16 00:08:29 +0000 UTC]

Muchas gracias!.
