Description We used to hold hands,
Like paper men,
Stuck together
Forever because we were best friends.

As time went on,
Our chain grew and grew,
but...
I was always stuck to you.

Then one day you cut me loose,
And I fell away from everything,
Disconnected and alone
And there is still no forgetting.

I can reach out,
But I'll never hold you again
Or anyone
You marked me like a wine stain.

It's never coming out,
No one will ever find me,
Or love me
Of that I have no doubt.

I'm just the disconnected paper man,
Drowning in these tears,
That saturate my being
And make minutes feel like years.

I really like the imagery of the paper men you used here, but you should look into improving the flow of the poem as some parts appear to be off. Nice work anyway!
