Hey yall. I have been running low on motivation for drawing, recently, so I've set a challenge for myself to draw mythical creatures and figures. I decided I would start with Indian mythology.

This first piece is of God Hanuman, a demigod monkey from the Indian epic, the Ramayana. This scene depicts Hanuman visiting the Himalayan mountain range, looking for medicinal herbs to help the wounded soldiers fighting Ravana, the demon king of Sri Lanka.

P.S. The authors who wrote Journey to the West and Dragonball Z probably took inspiration from Hanuman when building Son Wu Kong and Goku, respectively, because some of his powers included limited shape shifting, the ability to grow to the size of fly or a mountain, and the ability to fly.
