Meet Hiroki Keiko, but just call him Hiro.

He loves adventures, biking, swimming, and video games. He lives with his younger sister and mother while his father mysteriously disappeared after he was 6 years old. Now, as a spunky 11-year-old, he learn to venture out of his comfort zone thanks to his father advice and giving him his trademark goggles.

His venture to the DigiWorld began when his 11th birthday came around and his mother handed him a strange device and his pesky sister tried to steal it from him. Just when he gets it back, her sister accidentally “broke” it. In actuality, it turned on and it went blank until later that night when Hiro looked at the device again and it’s activated, creating a hologram of his father who tells him it’s a DigiOasis, a DigiVice of his own creation. He also tells his son that the best surprise is within the device, except he needs to get a little “closer” to the action, causing him to teleport into the Digital World.

Once there, he wakes up in a nursery full of DigiEggs and sees a strange and scary-looking creature taking care of the eggs. The creature tells him that she’s a Digimon named Babamon and she’s the caretaker and old friend of his father’s. She tells him of the device that he has with him and helps place it around his wrist. She then tells him to aim the mounted device at her, which opens activated a scanner light and projects a hologram display of Babamon, even telling him all the lore and attacks she can do.

After that, Babamon tells him there’s one last thing for his birthday, a lone DigiEgg, carefully rendered in a case. Hiro asks what’s in it and Babamon says that time will tell until your new friend arrives and she instructs him on how to get back to his home thanks to the DigiOasis.

He wakes up the next morning, thinking that it was all dream, only to see the egg he remembered is laying right next to him in his bed...
