Im actually glad you won the competition, you followed the rules and still wowed DA. I didn't like the fact DA changed the rules without announcement though, it was kind of a dirty thing to do when people were following the brief. well the standard has been set lets see what people come up next

I LOVE DeviantArt and want to display my love wherever I go. I've bough two bags, stickers to oput around everywhere and a key chain, but never a single clothing (except the caps, both black and green)
There just hasn't been any that caught my eyes and I felt stud for what I love about DeviantArt. But this one, oh how i would love to have one! (or ten, hehe)
I would give anything to see this design on a T-Shirt!!!!

well this one could be a winner, the classic concept and the use of lots of elements that reffers to the art and design are really well done. The colors are simple but have greath contrast, the text itΒ΄s the most amazing and definitly the center of the design, those labels remind me the oldest signs in advertising and the stripes are my favourites, because add to the whole design a lot of life.Finally the phrase "artist united" could be reversed: "united artists" like movie studios reference and because defines better the idea that we all are united artists, excellent design, i give it a 10.

I really think you captured som of the essentials in dA, without it being, you know, to violent a design.
It would look great in coloured shades as well i think!!
