Well this is Terragen render, whish i made after viewing Stotty's 'Red Pinnacle' render. First i've made a terragen render, after that i opened it in Photoshop and duplicate layer in multiply mode.Related content

perfect... except one thing... at the end of this canyon... is that the end of the world? this one needs more terrain depth... the rest looks very realistic

nice work this is about the best i have seen of your so far
id maybe drop the grassy texture at the bottom there and add in a few more dusty layers part from that the texture work is very nice
atmosphere is very nice as are the clouds
only other things i can really mention are the triangular peaks and shadows which you can cover easy enough
all that said a very good render hope to see the final on this one

A very nice render mate .. the texture job is done very well, as well as the lighting .. the sky isn't too bad, perhaps a bit more realistic look to the clouds?
