Oh gosh this is awesome. The composition and posing are really great, and their expressions both just perfect. I also reallyreally like the placement of the text and the flip of the picture in the background--both elements make such good use of space and add to the dynamic feeling of the piece.

I like it. This is a neat translation of Hussie's style.
I also like the way you interpreted these carapace people's heads and faces. The boots work fine for me - they add some neat visual interest to the scene.
From an artistic standpoint, I like the dynamic angles, and the movement going on in here. Jack looks like he's actually hovering in midair, either by his wings or some other power, and Droog looks properly shocked.

Thank you~! I actually had to redraw Droog's face like ten times, and they were all really minute imperceptible changes. I wanted to have him gasping, but not so much freaked out as like... I don't know, alarmed? Or startled. I think it turned out well.

When you said "Jack comes home" the wording instantly conjured this amazing mental image of the Midnight Crew, Sovereign Slayer himself obviously excluded, in flowery aprons preparing dinner like whipped bitches and arguing about what to make tonight, no no no don't fry that shit you know Jack doesn't like it that way goddammit HB stop tasting the batter--
and then it dissolves into a knife fight and they all get soundly trounced when he comes home to find his dinner STILL ain't waiting for him on the table.
