That's Atreyu indeed. I never saw a more embarrassing adaptation of a book until PJ released the first film from 'The Hobbit'. Thank you for bringing memories from my chidhood - I think I beat most of watchers, readed the book in 1982 and now I'm 43 .

Ah! Atreyu as he truly looks, with the green skin and the purple buffalo's hide. 
I have never seen a rendition based on the original story before. It brings good memories from the time I used to read Ende's books. Good one as well, the drawing style fits him in my opinion.

Good god. I watched this movie for the first time in probably 15 years just a couple days ago. Weeeird. Also, this version looks far more badass than the one from the movie.

Oh man, I remember when we did that reading group. That was fantastic. I like your take on him, the way you sized his eyes helps emphasize the fact that he's both young and wise beyond his years.
