it's crazy how fast time has flown by and how fast they grow up. what a lovely capture.
the vintage feel of the shot is really lovely, and the expression in the mirror is perfect. so mature, yet so childlike.

only critique is the shaving can. wish it wasn't there (it's so dark in tone, and the logo/words take away from the intimacy and concentration of the moment) but it's certainly not distracting enough to not love the photo. :fav:

What finally caught my eye after studying this several times is that the Alex in the mirror has his arm up with the razor, but the real Alex looks like he is just observing and studying, like these are 2 different times since you can't see the arm up, or the razor, or any shaving cream (except the couple of dots left over). Kind of a visual trick, and I think adds a nice layer of meaning (See where my mind goes early in the morning? Nothing like getting sucked in by art!)

would be even more interesting if you manipulated the photo to have the face of a grown man shaving in the mirror. as if we're looking into his imagination as he thinks about the future
