I know. For all disciplines...photography, graphic design, illustration, etc... It's a constant progression of trying to improve upon what you have learned. I'm constantly having to learn and relearn things to keep up but I do enjoy the challenge.

i'm upgrading cameras - which makes me have to get deeper into what i need from a camera - so i have to be more on top of the tehcnical side -that in itself is an education

then there's freakin' photoshop (just got the very latest version) and getting better at that - gettign more into some "graphic design" - past typography over an image you know

then there's building a new website and for what audience since i wanted to do more creative and not portrait work anymore

it's so much - and so expensive - and time consuming - but clearly i love it

i will say there are times i miss film. noise is a bitch in digital when you want to print larger formats

It depends on what your output is for the digital format.

Also, shooting in RAW and importing in RAW can save you from digital noise.

Keep on trying to improve and remember one thing most...it's the eye not the technology when it comes down to it.

then i've got insanely large files where i need more hard drive space i know RAW allows for much more correction as well.

thank god for the eye - creativity i've got - a good sense of composition and color theory i've got but yeah - i am quite novice past the basics of my aperture/shutter speed settings - but i am truly working very hard on it!

Well, there are 13 yr olds that I trust to take a better photo with a $12.00 WalMart film camera than some of the professional union photogs out here in L.A. It's all in the eye and is given a solid ground knowing the techs and specs.

she is hispanic and lives in TExas via mexican culture. the majority of Texas are hispanic at this point in the state populate - so to me it's still appropriate to say Texan and yes, Mexican.

oh i know - i was just sort of typing out my stream of consciousness - and i realized i nearly equated texas and mexico at this point when it came to both drinking tequila, the culture of tequila and the model altogether.

the models make it easier for me to focus as a photographer - and it just lends to variety - self portraits are very hard as you know
