this is Sasha - my friend Jane's dog - and well, i didn't do a thing to this image past one layer blend in soft light mode at 58% opacity - very little level play on the dark end - and that's itso no, i didn't touch those eyes. i didn't add color, i didn't dodge at all, i didn't sharpen
those eyes - that's what makes Sasha so amazing isn't it? she's super sweet - like a giant lap dog - and she's some sort of husky i think - some version of one - and her eyes are damn n ear albino with the faintest ice blue to them
you cannot help but stare at her - and it makes you think - are you from here? are you some mythical, magical creature that is something from fantasy morphed to visit our world as a common domestic dog?
because there is something special about this animal, isn't there?

She does look super exotic, especially with the dark black "eyeliner" to make her eyes seem even brighter! She's a beauty. I love the expression you captured. My pupup sometimes gives me that look when I'm making him do something he's not really excited about, like sit near a fan.

My dog is Border Collie x Husky, having one blue and one brown eye. His blue eye looks EXACTLY like that!

I used to have a dog of a different breed that had those eyes . . . I believe you that you didn't alter the color. . . amazing aren't they !

Oh I can understand you so well. I know a husky and I knew a dog who certainly had some husky blood as well since he had that beautiful blue eyes.

Great shot - love the comp - and great timing in capturing that look. I can't believe how much that looks like my dog - right down to "the look". She (Sapphire Storm) has one brown eye, though, and her nose is pretty black in the summer, but she gets the "snow nose" (a pink and black mixture) in the winter. How weird is that?

Quite common in the Alaskan Husky, I have one that looks just like this, only mine only has 'eyeliner' on one eye...lol White eyes, yes.

All of the pale, blue-eyed animals I've come across have a mystic quality about them. Cats, dogs, a horse, a rabbit.. and some others I can't recollect. That's a beautiful shot of her!

Lovely eyes, as you said!! is she perhaps a Greenland dog? I don't know well the differences betwee Greenland dogs and huskies or malamutes, but it's my guess

Yeah he was a husky mix, we picked him up from an adoption home. Poor thing had been beaten senseless before we got him. But he's much better now. Lives with my mom because our place wouldn't allow pets.
