This is so bold. It reminds me of a painting by one of the old dutch masters.

i got the 350D instead b/c for $1,000 I got that slr (one removed from the 20D), an extra good Canon 50mm lense, my extra battery and memory cards. where you can't even get the body alone (no lense even, much less an extra lense, battery, memory) for that price if you go20D - you're looking at $1500 for body alone and the differences are in teh sensors and in speed - so yeah the 20D is "better" - but i'm not out there shooting sports images for a magazine or whatever - I'm doing portraiture work most of the time and nature stuff - and the 350D is fabulous. i did tons of research and almost got caught upin the "you're not really serious or cool enough unless you splurge for the 20D" pressure -but I just can'ta fford that kind of thing and all the other stuff I need plus lighting equipment -and the difference is not great enough for my needs. if i were you i'd consider the 350D. both and :iconsubturgmalais: (however you spell her name
) both use it and do great great work
my two cents

Interesting. imo 20D is extremely overpriced. I may end up getting the 350D, who knows Where'd you purchase it from, if you don't mind my asking? I was thinking of going with pricegrabber or buydigs.. not sure.

buydigs is where we got mine it was like $750 on a sale we found
(and to think the body alone on the 20D is nearly twice that
)

Beautiful shot, I like the darkness of it. Unfortunately I had to read through the comments to figure out the garden thing

I bet it grows quite nicely actually, cause if not mistaken you've taken pictures of it.

She has a very pretty face. The lighting does wonders making her almost ghostlike in paleness.

I don't have a garden ... Nice though, very confusing.... But i bet it means something to you, it's soooo late and all my higher brain functions shut down hours ago... No creativity here at the moment

The lighting here is fantastic! It creates a nice contrast with the dark background/shirt and make the skin stand out with a beautiful glow. I love the overall simplicity of the photo, it draws the attention to the emotion and expression. Lovely piece^^
