What happened here?
We can see a tire in the background, did some freak accident just happen? Is the girl a spirit wandering around, waiting for the sun to come?

wow. The sepia treatment to the photo and the way it is so white on the top, and kind of grainy makes me think of older photos - from the '30's in particular.
But the reality is that the US and the world still has people living in poverty.
There is so much emotion in this shot. It hits me hard really. We should all be trying to do more.
