Description
the wonderment of new experiences is priceless to watchmary
alex and his Daddy in the shower - he used to be scared of them - now that he's learning to swim - he's ready to experiment - after this - he's a fan - but i loved his wonderment at it all
just think - one day his hands will be as big as his Daddys!

I actually remember when I was little and did this very same thing with my dad the first time I ever took a shower. I didn't realize other people did it with their kids too. But I guess ya gotta teach em how to do these things somehow XD I've actually been thinking when I have kids if I should do the same for my sons or not. Is that what you're supposed to do? I really don't know. If my dad did it with me I guess I should do that.

You're welcome. It's a wonderful way of showing that the world can be an adventure, if you only let it.

such a beautiful capture. Truly amazing composition with the little and large hands through the wet misty shower screen

This is so sweet.
I don't think there's anything more precious than a father spending time, and being involved in his child's life.

A painting. Not common with yours. But feeling is the same.

What do you think about the spooky story of the painting?

i totally get the connection to that and this now that you showed it to me- and the story is fantastic and the image is indeed haunting - so very creative - you didn't so much conceptual photography such as that in 1972 either i'd bet but i'm guessing

When I first saw this, I thought it was a painting! I guess the shower door distorts things just enough that you really can't tell if it's real or if it's fantasy... much like how a child spends most of his/her time.
Very well done.

thank you! I almost "cleaned" the shower door in photoshop and said "nope - that distortion/noise/glass - it's all part of it - it's a real shower shot - lol"
thanks so much for really checking it out and leaving a thoughtful comment - truly

...PLEASE don't hate me too much for this. It's an excellent shot. Very interesting expression. But when I saw this, some very dark thoughts came to mind.

I like that you can actually see the wonderment in his face. It's like he is exmaining every single droplet on the screen. Seeing the world through a child's eyes, I can only imagine what must be going on his head right now. But it must be something magical
