Yeah, I've sold an amazing 2 prints.... but even that makes me happy. I just wish I knew who it was. Somebody with a foot fetish because those are the two that sold

this is so tragically ironic it hurts - there is soemthing inside me, while looking at this, makes me want to scream out to the world at the top of my lungs, not that it would have any impact what-so-ever because thats the way society is. i love the use of negative space in this, which lets the reflections of the glass stand out against the firm, black lines. something that i noticed was the heavyness of the base of the glass. there is absolutely no escape from where this butterfly is. such a fragile creature can do nothing but lie there, wasting energy. it cant help itself and has to depend on someone to set it free. that almost brings a tear to my eye. it can see everything beautiful outside of the glass but cant get to it, yet the true beauty lies withing the glass. i think i am confusing myself. sorry. a stunning image - simple, yet with so much meaning behind it

The butterfly looks so sad in this one as compared to the butterflies in the other photos. Or maybe everyone's just projecting their own feelings onto it. It's good to know they were set free afterward

that's the way i feel sometimes... i love the all white backgrounds and that the butterfly is the only color in the picture. This is brilliant and i love all of your butterfly shots. (This one especially) i'm glad you let her go, too.
well, take care and you're a wonderful photographer! ...by the way!

I really like the concept of the butterfly being trapped in the glass. Very expressive.
And its coloration contrasts the background beautifully.

it was quite miserable working with those butterflies from the breeder - they were human born and raised from eggs in containers so they barely knew how to flew very far but just a bit- it was fun to get to hold them and model them and have them cooperate so as long as you had fruit - but in the end - the trapped i just had to say out loud - i have one looking out a window in that series too in my gallery and its just perfection. i was touched by that series by the humanity of tiny creatures adn the first microscopic like macros i've done. full view just is like "whoa -well hello" like a creature from the Disney flick A Bug's Life!
you are lovely to leave me such sweet comments and pop by. don't forget to see my kitty's new portraits at your leisure- i know you love

why do people think they have the right to put animals in zoos just we can gawk and stare at them all day...
beautiful photography, and it is meaningful as well.

This whole series is sweet but I think I like this one the most. It's so simple but it speaks directly, the message is clear. The positioning of the butterfly is so sad, it's almost like it's too weak to stand from lack of exercise. Reminds me of zoos, which I can't stand going to, and the animals weaving in the cages. No way to live. Anyway,
and nice job taking something unfortunate and elevating it to art.
