Description Changelog
v5.0: LOADS OF AWESOME BUG FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS
v4.0: Forgot about it for a while then decided to make one that looks actually like IE10. Completely new interface and some pointless or non-working features removed. Please suggest me more!
v3.0: Got rid of the (not very good) tabs, made the address bar auto-update to the current website, added a title, added save and go buttons, added 'How to get Chrome here' to the menu, added an 'About' page, got rid annoying 'Error' dialogs in IE8, improved visual appearance of the back button.
v2.1: Realized that I still hadn't fixed the bug (so got rid of the images and menu on startup), added basic tabs, added a forward button, removed a line break in the menu.
v2.0: Realized that in v1.5 I hadn't fixed the bug, made the browser start with menu (to attempt to fix it), added "My default browser" to the menu, added "Submit feedback/update in my default browser" to the menu.
v1.5: Stop button added, startup bug fixed ("Could not connect to the internet...")
v1.4: New Search function

It's not really an application - it's a PowerPoint. But it's got some basic buttons and uses IE8 rendering engine whatever OS you are using I have been told by link6155 so unfortunately no html5 or webgl yet. Please and to favorites and COMMENT ON WHAT YOU THINK! I will really appreciate it.

Feel free to download and modify this - make sure that you comment to me if you have uploaded your work and part of it may be within to the the next official version.

The browser is not truely metro, it doesn't follow the Metro Guidelines. As for the html5, it's the same on all Windows OS. Powerpoint uses the old IE engine, so most of the websites you visits will be messed up. Deviantart doesn't allow powerpoint, instead, put it in a .zip or some kind of archive file.

OK thanks for your feedback. What do you mean by "metro guidelines" though?

The Modern (metro) UI guidelines are requirements for an app to be considered Metro. Although there is no clear design for Metro, there are rules. There is 2 sides to Metro, Icon and Text. Both have to Match metro. Text should only use the Segoe UI font family and the icons should match other metro UI icons.

It does use Segoe UI but I didn't know about the icons thing. What about Firefox metro ([link] )? That doesn't use specific icons, does it? Thanks anyway.

The layout follows the Metro Guidelines. Google "Metro UI Guidelines" to find more examples. You can't slap together a bunch of things and call it Metro you know.

Also when I went on whatbrowser.org it said IE8 not 7 like I expected it to. So it'll do that on Windows 7 too you say or IE9?

It will do that on Windows Vista/7/8 as well. The browser engine on Powerpoint at this time runs on IE8.
