You know, it's kinda funny in a way. The 90's cartoon showcased Hobby as a cool villain and merc while The Green Goblin was this Boss character that will give Peter hell (not to mention that Norman's conversion was genuinely impactful...).
In the comics ? Well, Hobgoblin turned out to be this elusive badass that gives Peter hell despite not purposefully seeking Spidey... while Norman's Green Goblin is that early boss you thrash before getting to the real meat of the game.
Oh and, Norman kills an unconscious blonde you say ? Roderick kills the Venom Symbiote over there in Spider-Girl cementing himself as TOP-5 CHAD supervillain far as I am concerned... also he should've been the goblin in that Spidey musical !
