Okay , time to talk about one the greatest Superheroes of all time : Wally West aka THE FLASH !
And since we all know that Dan Didiot fucked up the franchise , I think it 's pretty much the occasion to commemorate what I loved before that.
[Barry's death was amazing and probably the coolest thing he did in nearly 30 years of being the Flash , so he stays DEAD , BECAUSE I SAID SO ! And if you dare say Kid Flash, I'll eat your flesh voraciously !]. The rogues you'll see here are the non-reformed ones . The rogues certainly are the most famous since they end up trying to avoid the Flash & their gimmicks are really just a chance to get away intact. Accordingly, the writers have to have complex motivations and decent stories . Flash villains also include Idid Amin Dada+Ivan in a rabid gorilla suit, super powered religious fanatics , a-holes from the future , deadly attention whores (guess who ?) . Let's dive in ! (this is just an aperitif, MY MAsterpiece is finished it'll be posted soooon & it'll be a LULU !)

I know , I know she ain't a villain I am well aware of that, but you gotta admit , Wally had a friggin hard time catching her...

19) THE SHADE (Richard Swift)

Though more of a badass anti-hero than an actual now, I wouldn't mind a little joust here & there ...

17) CAPTAIN BOOMERANG (Digger Harkness )

An Austrailian criminal who is master of the boomerangs. Evil to the point of likable, Captain Boomerang has been both villain and anti-hero. He' s cool in Suicide Squad & in the JLU cartoon, so it's kinda sad they Fubared him...

16) MIRROR MASTER (Evan McCulloch )

His background is just sordid (even though I disagree with whoever said it ruined him) .At first a mercenary rather than a criminal he had certain principles, much to the dismay of some of his more shady employers, which unfortunately didn't stop him from (unknowingly ) shooting his father. The worst part is that before joining the Rogues , the government used him as an agent. No wonder why he ended up snorting cocaine...

15) WEATHER WIZARD (Mark Mardon)

His son is still ALIVE ! with that out of the way , where do I even begin ? He killed his brother from the weather wand ( by fucking up actually , it wasn't required ...), & thought about dissecting his baby son Josh to understand where the innate weather powers come from (okay , that one he wouldn't have the balls to do so ... I mean come on dude , you made officer Jackam preggers, take your responsibilities ! ).

14) TRICKSTER II (Axel Walker)

Yes I love James (he's reformed), but the kid definitely made a worthwhile replacement !

13) MURMUR (Michael Amar)

I like his psychosis and drastic efforts to overcome it. He's a surgeon who LOATHES noise , he hates talking because he stutters so he sewed his mouth ( OF COURSE ! Best way to not be incriminated ! ). But the most unsettling part is that he's pretty good at surviving , due to an abnormal blood, lethal injection ...

12) CICADA ( David Hersch )

During a thunderstorm sometime in the early twentieth century, David Hersch murdered his wife. Regretting what he had done, he sought to end his own life (that should make her forgive you !) , only he was struck by lightning before he could carry it out... and had a vision: LIIIVE FOREVER ! The bastard manages to gain a cult following him into worshipping Flash ... Yeah , even when he was good , Johns was kinda frightening , But it worked back in the days..

11)BLACKSMITH (Amunet Black)

She ran “the Network,” a high-end black market for supervillains, for the last 15 years, using connections to move contraband to or from anywhere in the world. After a brief marriage to Goldface, she stole a sample of his gold elixir, altering it so that it gave her the power to merge flesh and metal. Then why doesn't she get a future appearance ?

10) REPLICANT (Anthony Gambi)

Okay , why don't they use the biggest Rogues fanboy anymore ? Not to mention that he's more powerful than them ?He grew up with the Rogues as his family and heroes. On a later visit to Central City, he observed a battle between the dark Flash, Captain Cold and Captain Boomerang in which Boomerang was nearly killed.Digger gathered the Rogues together and enlisted the aid of T.O. Morrow to create a new, ruthless Rogue: a being who could replicate the powers of any weapon he came into contact with.

9)SAVITAR
I hate how he got shat on in rebirth! One mad villain, venerating speed & motion before fusing with the speed force . Savitar had a distinctive voice . He's always got a viewpoint and it's always the opposite of the norm. Even the creators have discussed having Savitar come back because Wally technically didn't defeat him in Dead Heat.

8) THE TOP (Roscoe Dillon )

Megalomaniac spining bastard! Death does not stop the Top MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA !

7) DR ALCHEMY (Albert Desmond )

Most underrated, underused flash villain, period... To fully enjoy this villain's performance, check out his appearance in GCPD 29-30. Desmond is one manipulative vain prick who knows how to push someone's buttons, as well as a man of science that is quite happy about being enjailed ...

Far better than his fanboy of a grand father, I'm not gonna repeat myself here's how I see Inertia , free to you to agree or disagree with my take on him [link]

4) GORILLA GRODD

A highly evolved being with incredible psychic abilities. He's very intelligent and has an understanding of technology far advanced than most people in the DCU have access to & is pretty hardcore, making him intense and intimidating when necessary. And typically it has only been because of the Flash's intervention that Grodd hasn't taken over the world or at least taken over Gorilla City, which has shown it has the ability to effect mankind on a global scale when needed. He should be written as a mixture between the bloodthirsty anthropophageous monster (Yeah I know , Gorillas don't eat meat ...) & the super-megalomaniac genius with the sarcastically polite tone ...

3) CAPTAIN COLD ( Lenny Snart )

The Rogues leader became so competent that at no point during the Johns run did Flash actually catch him and put him in prison. There was also a notable sense of decency and honor that made him stand out . He didn’t kill unless it was personal or if he was threatened enough. And Robberies were the job so it had be done right , with the least amount of damage possible. He rarely tried to actually kill the Flash because he’s smart enough to know how the other superheroes would retaliate. The way he treats the other Flash Rogues (who he considers family) makes him seem like a responsible criminal and not a total monster like most in his position. Ice climbers ARE BADASS ! This is what you'll think once you get to know Lenny !

2) ABRA KADABRA

The mad magician, a calculating Moriarty to Wally's Holmes, possessed that precise combination of qualities that makes for superb supervillainy: dangerous power and sinister intent fueled by a flare for the dramatic, a sick, sadistic, and sometimes downright silly sense of manic playfulness. Definitely in My top 5 Flash villains) Abra Kadabra, at the top of his game, can be extremely dangerous. Not only does his "magic" make him immensely powerful, he also has the incredible patience needed to set up traps *months* in advance. And for a while he was a total psychopath. When he's really going, his only weakness is his vanity. And he's relatable, especially when you're seeking people's admiration & validation..

1) ZOOM (Hunter Zolomon )

Hunter is fascinating primarily because of his motivation, and the fact that he really believes he needs to do evil in order to accomplish good, and that he's ultimately helping the Flash by giving him ever-greater obstacles to overcome. Seriously, HE is the coolest villain I've read about in a Flash & perhaps the last Johns story I've thoroughly enjoyed ! (Which is why my Flash canon stops with Ignition . Yep, I am a stubborn Jerk !)
No offense to the Prof, but good buddy with a sordid past turned sociopath obsessed with teaching heroics through tragedy trumps whackjob from the future. And Scott Kolins just drew the shit out of him , the first cover he appears in is just a work of art .
