Description WARNING : If you read the following essay to your kids, well it's on you for now on pal. This company denies any all responsibility in case of arson, mass suicide, deranged epiphanies and various gastric disorders. And unlike other "reviews" on this subject, the writer over here is unabashedely unapologetic on this content. To those who are used to what happens in this here place, hold you seats folks ! Here we go again !

Well my dear regular audience ... it has been a fucking while but FINALLY I finished it ! Well that applies more for the text 10% of the foolhardy visitors that arrived here. I promised the biggest drawn Middle Finger to Spider-man fans, but I guess I'll anger the X-men ones first. And that includes but is not restrained to the morons on Youtube channels making moronic TOP 10 with unfounded and cretinous fallacies and the innane throng dwelling on whining blogs or miserable forums. Anyway, back to the celebration...

Yes...YES ! BEHOLD ! AND DESPAIR ! The monument to my ego, My self-indulgence , my vanity , my passion and arrogance is COMPLETE! And I have you to thank for it !

I pretty much took these...
devilkais.deviantart.com/art/X…
devilkais.deviantart.com/art/I…
devilkais.deviantart.com/art/X…
And cranked them to their perfect form as presented here (well or at least as good as my drawing abilities and limited editing capacities can allow...thankfully It was not colorized ...). Originally they were supposed to be displayed separately but I figured that these are more pleasing to the eye. I promised the biggest middle finger I could conjureup towards the X-men fandom so it has to go big and loud !
Much like the 2 greatest antagonists in this franchise (and represented on the borders of the poster...), I just went and selected the 20 worthy from protagonists AND (possible) antagonists. I went into it trusting my insight, my reading/watching experiences, my soul-searching and my wisdom. This is the result.
If you're expecting smething that passes the Bechdel test , you won't find it here. This is also the product of my racism, my mean-spiritedness and sexism because of my utter disbelief in the whole " strong female character" notion people seem to latch the fuck on or the fact that Luke Cage is a thing. Imagine that...

So since I've already dealt with the folks at the bottom-right, time to handle those who are at the bottom-left. Initially when drawing the first I did not really intend to make a follow-up. It was supposed to juxtapose the top 10 X-men foes to the Top 10 Avengers foes (huh, guess I will have to give those folks a similar treatment,eh ?). But I got the ego bug on this so I had to continue...

The former 10 were inarguably antagonists and still destructive, amoral, self-serving and Boss-type material.
This next batch ? All of these guys can be or ARE dangerous, whether voluntarily or not. Point is they still make great opponents for the X-men/Force/Gen X/add other team name here. Though to be fair, 3 of them are not that antagonistic and even decent folks. But since popularity and fame are NOT actual factors of quality, I knew exactly who to pick and draw on my own merry way. Again, they're listed by decreasing order of publication/inception and, due to my flights of fancy, we'll say what voice would fit.

DIRECTOR BRENT JACKSON
Theme Song: Sympathy for the Devil (Motorhead cover)
You all forgot him, eh? Or rather, you never knew this guy even existed, eh ? Who the fuck did you honestly think I was gonna pick as a powerless human antagonist ? Reverend Stryker ? Get outta here ! The Purifiers' only purpose is at best to be food for the guys and gals you see here on the image below. And not even a high-quality meal might I add !
But why Jackson ? I never forget an insult but I never forget a very positive presence. What better way to represent Weapon X but its best director? A guy willing to both work with mutants as well as exploit/manipulate mutants. Funny thing is, Brent here is insidious enough to have memory implants inserted on new recruits BUT he is absolutely against wasteful cruelty (man absolutely LOATHES Victor Creed...). I guess he should sound a bit like Tom Hanks since he can seem pretty concerned and sympathetic when he wants to.

QUEEN OF THE STARSWORDS
Theme Song: Awe Of She (Guilty Gear X-2)
The most powerful antagonist (as well as mutant) in this whole poster. For those paying attention back in my X-force retrospective, you knew full well I would never lose the opportunity to enlist Arcadia DeVille's uncontrollable side. Aaah, John Francis Moore, if only he and Joe Casey had control over things back then.... Nothing to change aspect-wise, she is supposed to look unconspicuous.

KING BEDLAM
Theme Song: The Warriors main theme (The Warriors OST)
Didn't have to change much about Christopher Aaronson, if at all. Guy has the right amount of greed, charisma and ruthlessness that he's basically akin to Ebon from Stacti Shock if you swap the shadow control and recklessness with neural tampering/impreviousness to telepathy and a very chill temper.

MARROW
Theme Song: Know Your Enemy (Rage Against The Machine)
A simplified take on her Weapon X design. You say she's one of the X-men, I say she works sooo much better as an enemy who happens to have foes in common with them. Face it, there is no way in hell she will ever chill out. And can I refuse the delight of drawing bones used as lethal weapons ? Someone call Karen Strassman asap for this !

AGENT ZERO
Theme Song: Like Toy Soldiers (Eminem)
Aka Maverick/Christoph Nord. This is one of those absolutely reluctant enemies, one who absolutely hates what he has been turned into by Weapon X. Why would I pick him? Well he went from being a marksman with concussive blasts to a guy without a scent, silent in movement due to a vibranium suit, with an enhanced healing factor (perfected then added-on) and a corrosive factor added to his concussive blasts... which basically fucks up those with more developped healing factors. Draw your own conclusion as to what'd happen if he were effectively unleashed on the merry mutants ? Also would sound like German Solid Snake.

OMEGA RED
Theme Song: Dead Zone (Hellsing Ultimate OST)
Once again, a slight simplification. Yes the idea came from the werewolf Captain (because I believe Arkady should be animated to move in a similar fashion), there was nothing to really add to Arkady's overall appearance so I decided to substract instead. The Len Doncheff is kept however... The reason he's drawn from a distance is that I wanted to give a better idea of his overall appearance.

DEADPOOL
Theme Song: Lights Out (Mindless Self-Indulgence)
If you think this is a joke then I will be glad to correct you; the true Wade Wilson is deep down a bad person. While his trauma at department K and the experiments that led his shape to resemble an amalgamation of living, pulsating tumors is indeed sad, I never forgot that the man evenbefore that lived thanks to blood money.
If a movie had to illustrate his personality, it would be "Return Of the Living Dead".
The reason for the disheveled look comes from a simple observation; Since Wade is deemed a failed experiment by Weapon X and people love to bitch that he was based on Deasthstroke (funny thing ? I've read Wolfman's Titans and Slade never really was that akin to Wade. Deathstroke operates with finesse and through tactical scheming before thinking of a fight while Deadpool LOVES going at it like a slasher movie villain and have his targets afraid before their ignominous demises.), I wanted to show him like a broken toy coming back from the junkyard. Voice-wise, Nicieza said that it would be akin to a gravelly Dennis Leary www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrgpZ0… (I imagine it resembling BeetleJuice's voice...).

SAURON
Theme Song: Where's the Doc? (Dino Crisis OST)
Weapon X design BUT the Seagle/Kelly run persona inside ! That way, Dr Lykos gets the best in and out. And Robert Bockstael's voice with more screeching...

MESMERO
Theme Song: I'm Your Puppet (Lowrider Oldies)
His weapon X version, no more, no less, it's the best version of Mesmero that will ever be. Patrick Borg in his Vega voice would fit. After all, hypnotist should sound somewhat soothing...However I am of 2 minds about keeping his jaundice look.

JUGGERNAUT
Theme Song: Juggernaut Stage (Marvel Superheroes OST)
Funny how Cain Marko easily gets the shaft. He'd be the second "close to a decent guy" antagonist displayed in this picture, all the more reason to leave his measly half-brother rot a mile underground and have Tom "stole me lucky charms" Cassidy perish (though in Tom's case, it is waaaay more dignified than whatever they did to him, trust me...). I did not really have much detail on the design, just drew him from what and how I remembered him. Also, go Paul Dobson... but in a more measured tone.

Now that we are done with the obstacles and foes that could kill them, BLOODILY MIGHT I ADD, let us talk about the protagonists. I know what you're asking this moment, "Where's da Wolverine ?! How dare you not put da bloody Wolverine in here ? Are ya contrarian ?"
And I answer "why right there of course www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHArmh… . What? This is way better than the actual movie. Or even that whole shitstain of a trilogy. Their final message was so painfully clear that I am amazed no one pointed it out. But what is this message you ask ? Well it is that nobody matters but Prof Baldy and Whoreverine. You're a fan of another character ? Fuck you. And contrarian ? Moi ? Why ? Is there any actual profit in that ?"
If you don't ask that question, well it means that you already know me. Once again, I picked them properly as the Harbringer of the Fittest would do. My parameters of choice ? Fun to read and fun to draw. And round that number to 20 individuals cus that's how school works !

In any case you have better ideas for the theme song or the voice, go ahead and let me know. If you have a better idea as to who should be in the list, no you don't. I did not draw thinking I was right. I drew it KNOWING I was right. There is a huge difference !
I followed the conditions and faces I have established for myself. As I knew blandness and sameface syndrome are the hazards to overcome ! I need to make them recognisable and look compelling from a distance! Yes, all of the characters you see here are the incarnations swept under the rug and flung in limbo as we speak, but that doesn't stop me from having my fun (and please don't tell me about the goddamn current titles ! They renamed Rachel "Prestige" for fuck sake ! Why is she having a stripper name ?! And where's the strip-tease for that matter ?!).  With that said, there are references hidden in plain sight regarding 2 other protagonists who are related by blood. Can you find said clues AND guess who I am refering to ?

BEDLAM
Theme Song: Outcast At Last (Sticky Fingers)
Preferable Voice: Phil Lamarr, albeit a shier version of his Static voice.
I just kept his initial appearance and gave him his Counter-X costume. He is supposed to be an inconspicuous young man... detected by the amount of sabotaged materials and electronics around him.

MAGGOT
Theme Song: Dry Your Tears (Hokuto No Ken OST)
Preferable Voice: If you know someone with a south-african accent and can sound laid-back, go ahead. I'd imagine him sounding sickly and distorted whenever he reveals his stomach...or the lack thereof.
Japheth is a very kind chap and as such, since nature loves paradoxes, he gets an extremely aggressive ability. His 2 little trilobites basically ingest almost anything to convert it into energy and increase his strength and energy. Psychometry and parallel vision included...AND this guy is the "worst x-man ever" ? See, statements like are why stupidity should be a deadly sin. I took his straight from that Adam Pollina cover and just gave him his pancho back...

CHAMBER
Theme Song: Insecurities (Borialis)
Preferable Voice: Distorted Jason Statham
A mix of his initial Bachalo design and the Counter X "suit".I also dig the blooshot eyes and the cracking skin, as if we might ot be sure what would come from underneath...

SKIN
Theme Song: Hitori No Yoru (Porno Graffitti)
Preferable Voice: What if Eikichi Onizuka was from the Barrio...
Aside from the headband, Angelo is drawn as he is. Is there really anything I would change about Mr Espinosa ?

BLINK
Theme Song: Bodhisattva cathedral (Hellsing OST RAID)
Preferable Voice: The way Tara Strong voiced her in X-men Legends II...
Yes it's the AoA/Exiles version of Clarice. Why? Well after much soul-searching, I found out I really, REALLY liked the Exiles series, well, before a shitty event tore its spine and through it in a garbage can. But then again, it was the best thing Winnick ever wrote, the proof that Austen CAN write and my discovery of the underrated Tony Bedard. The only change I'd make ? Well the world she is from has subscribed to the club of INEXISTENT planes of reality...

BISHOP
Theme Song: All Along the Watchtower (Jimmy Hendrix)
Preferable Voice: While Philip Akin is great for the brasher, more rigid Bishop of the beginning, the one Joseph Harris and David Hine wrote is closer to how Kevin Michael Richardson performed it, calm, meticulous and even reassuring.
The "Last X-man" get-up is most fitting and more interesting to toy with. Much as I love "District X" (go David Hine !), Bish's design in it was maybe too banal, too unconspicuous. So I went with the more memorable option (plus that was avery underrepresented story-arc. Didn't know how Bishop would work as the main protagonist, but he pulled off beautifully and was absolutely recognisable from his previous incarnation !)

DOMINO
Theme Song: God Save The Queen (Sex Pistols)
Preferable Voice: Gwendoline Yeo was a good fit... It's one of the few good things about that retarded series anyway since, of course, they make Domino a Brotherhood member...Of. Fucking. Course.
The quintessential depiction of Dom is this i.pinimg.com/736x/58/5b/4c/585… . There is something in this cover that sums her up to me... I guess that's why it's influenced my following drawings of her. I hope we'll see that in the new movie and they remember that this is her best design and that she and Wade get along as well as tarantulas do with scorpions. (yes, I know it's a fat, purulent "no" on both accounts, but for fuck sake, I can dream, can't I ?)

CABLE
Theme Song: Alive (Soul'd Out)
Preferable Voice: Jotaro's initial Voice from the 90's JoJo OVA, maybe just louder when angered...
Contemplate him. For he is the main factor as to why I went for something bigger. As you can see, I love the concept of Metal flesh with fibers and tissues all coated in living pulsating steel. Nathan and the man who offered him this "gift" are simply platinum mines to go nuts with such a concept ! Of course, I tried to fuse the Patrick Zircher and Gene Ha depictions of Cable, since they are to me his absolute best in terms of face and T-O infected flesh.

GAMBIT
Theme Song: Secret Agent Man (Johnny Rivers)
Preferable Voice: Weird thing is, Chris Potter is perfect for the friendly Remy of the Lobdell-Nicieza run while Alessandro Juliani is closer to how the Solos' Remy LeBastard would sound like... tough ain't it ?
I just played it very simple and took the Steve Skroce design without the headgear... Yes, he fucking smokes and the first to protest will get the cigarette right in the eye ! Drawing tip: you want to get Gambit correctly ? NEVER think bi-shonen. Think DEVILISH. And you'll be in the right track.
About the supposedly upcoming movie, it better ends like this www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUvghG… or else it won't have any reason to exist...

JUBILEE
Theme Song: Running to Horizon (Tetsuya Komuro)
Preferable Voice: Wellll... something akin to Babs Bunny BUT with the mannerisms of Plucky Duck. I never said I was that clear, okay !
I have to confess, as easy it is to imagine how the more grotesque and out-there would look like realistically speaking... the average Joes are hard to figure out. Hell the closest I ever saw to what Jubes would look like is akin to this img22.mtime.cn/up/2010/09/03/1… . Never forget that with the right clothes she gets easily mistaken, much to her annoyance, for a young boy. That's why my version ended up this way devilkais.deviantart.com/art/A…

MELTDOWN
Theme Song: Family Portrait (Pink)
Preferable Voice:  Megan Leitch. Though I'd love to see her in the more sordid moments of the character.
The best Tabby ever is the JF Moore one so, hey, Logic and all dude.

SYRIN
Theme Song: Mullen (Grandia OST)
Preferable Voice: Someone with an Irish accent, look, throw me a bone here people ! I don't know any !
Basically her design by the great Patrick Zircher. And this X-Force Terry not the PAD X-Factor one (really did not like that...not one bit...).

CANNONBALL
Theme Song: The Road of The Lords (Hokuto No Ken OST)
Preferable Voice: Find me someone with a southern accent !
Are you tired of rookie Sam Guthrie ? You want the badass band-Leader of the TRUE X-Force ? You have therefore come to the right place. It's a mix of his Counter-X design and Ken Kitano's haircut . Why because THIS is the face of leadership AND the representation of Sam's "closed fist/open hand" philosophy pm1.narvii.com/6003/59268ea057… .

MOONSTAR
Theme Song: Julia Theme (Tekken 3 OST)
Preferable Voice: Ashly Burch
Same logic as Tabby's, just with a Lara Croft hairstyle. Funny how you need the right run for a character to go from "yeah, okay." to favorite...

WARPATH
Theme Song: No Mercy (Guilty Gear X-2 OST)
Preferable Voice: Jacques Albaret.
The Adam Pollina design. It really fits James to a T.

THE WHITE QUEEN
Theme Song: Killer Queen (Queen)
Preferable Voice: Jennifer Lien. PERIOD.
All was said and done in my Gen X retrospective. My version stems from the Bachalo/Buckingham version with shades of Sofiya Pavlovena when it comes to the demeanor. She does not look scary from this distance, eh ?

NIGHTCRAWLER
Theme Song: Light Cavalery Ouverture (Franz Von Suppé)
Preferable Voice: Dee Bradley Baker hit all the right strings for me.
You think I'd forget the gentleman who made Excalibur readable for me ? Yeah, I know Rachel is in it too but to me that was her stalling before her ACTUAL worth is finally acknowledged by the fates ! You wonder why Kurt would dress like that ?"Why WOULDN'T HE ?!" I say ! To kick arse for the Lord you better dress the part, I say !

MARVEL GIRL
Theme Song: Ricochet (Guilty Gear X-2 Korean OST)
Preferable Voice: Something like Colleen Clinkenbeard's Rin Asogi. Jeannie is quite violent when ticked off so she needs the right amount of heartfelt and harmful.
Since Jean Grey-Summers was pretty much the main focus of the last poster, is it really a surprise. The main model comes from the issue that is the Purest distillation of her personna vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/m… and Spirou's mother for the face with shades of Shahrazad Al-Rahman. Now the main costume...We'll see about that when the Day Springs heheheehe... And before you ask; No. Fucking. Phoenix.

BEAST
Theme Song: The Man in Me (Bob Dylan)
Preferable Voice: Why George Buza of course !
Since Professor Hank McCoy is the King Of Cool, my version is basically the Dude Lebowski in a business suit and a penchant for kicking ass Eddie Gordo-Style whenever approached by disreputable folks. Can't do better than that.

ICEMAN
Theme Song: C-Moon (Paul McCartney)
Preferable Voice: Brendan Fraser
Once again, the Bobbie Drake from the 2 greatest X-men runs. And yes I imagine him dressed as Ace Ventura.

There you go. The drawing instrutions are displayed and my ego-tripping is over. For now... The title is from both Japanese intros, just a slight precision. Seems I have lost 70% of the X-men fandom with this whole thing...

Honestly, the idea of Iceman wearing Ace Ventura's clothing does sound interesting, since it's a tropical wear, and that he's a ice user, and I bet he watches the Ace Ventura movies several times.

Interesting ideas
Seems to me that deep down the biggest problem of the X-men on tv is that they started way to high with their first animated series, dooming any other adaptation to be compared to it.
No Phoenix? good, It was so annoying when it was brought back in the Apocalypse movie
what you said about Deadpool reminded me that he is a friend of Bullseye and hear both were in a story called the Identity Disk (though didn't read it yet).
considering what you said about David Hine, what do you think of Daredevil Redemption, Son of M and Silent War?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

devilkais In reply to Ruyc [2018-04-27 00:32:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks man ! Consider it a bigger "Tomorrow Comes Today" poster.  As you see there are plenty of dangerous factions like the Akkaba Clan, the Marauders, Weapon X Program , Hellfire Inner Circle and the Acolytes as well as wild cards like Emplate or Stryfe (of course not all the ones below are evil...). Of course the folks above have to fight them or make it so that these discret wars do not degenerate...

That is an issue indeed. 90 TAS and Evolution qualites should be fused with X-men Legends so that we get THE optimal version of the X-men (and that we adapt Lobdell and Nicieza 's main stories in the style  TMNT 2003 did with Mirage TMNT Volume 1 !  For X-Force and Gen X, other art styles need to be used...). As it is, I see this readcomiconline.to/Comic/Age-o… as the hommage to their run and the genuinely good x-men, rushed though it is.

Yup. The only time it worked for was with Rachel and it fucking left her in the future. Fucking layabout power-up !

Oh yes... Wade is NOT a nice guy in the least . Wanna know why I consider Deadpool a villain protagonist ? 2.bp.blogspot.com/EbXuxUfzMXct… And if you're interested in him, start with "Circle Chase"... you'll note that he is NOT the hero of the story, Copycat IS !

I haven't read Redemption or Silent War. I despise Son Of M (for obvious reasons...). I know him for Spawn and that RULED !

Ruyc In reply to devilkais [2018-04-27 06:32:24 +0000 UTC]

Yeah
I read it last year, good one but the original Age of Apocalypse is just an extremely though act to top, like the first animated series. If they ever make a new action role playing game for the X-men, these designs would fit perfectly
Silent Was...let's just say he corrects one big continuity error about Black Bolt and Medusa in Son of M (though I still like very much the splash page when Pietro sees his "other him" in his bedroom). Redemption...hands down the most depressing Daredevil story ever

I don't think they will use Sinister... though to be fair the last one fooled me into thinking I'd have fun, and nope ! It wasted the titular antagonist so that Singer can film his Yaoi fanfic... yeah the live-action flicks sucked to say the least...

Starfire-Productions In reply to devilkais [2017-11-28 17:01:20 +0000 UTC]

Well, considering the nature of the film, and the fact that teaser at the end of Apocalypse hinted at it, I'm guessing he will be a villain  in Dark Phoenix.

Yes, the quality of the X-Men movies isn't a patch on the comics and something as big as Apocalypse needed his own trilogy. They did that better in the 90's animated series.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

devilkais In reply to Starfire-Productions [2017-12-03 15:15:06 +0000 UTC]

I suppose. Singer admitted that Apocalypse was just thrown in there for fans and that he wanted to adapt the goddamn pyro KFC. Which is stupid because
a) The Phoenix saga ain't all it's cracked up to be...
b) the best Jean Grey was the one that was introduced from X-Factor and on...till 2001 hit the FU button hard. And that Jean is phoenixless...

Well that was before the comics stopped evolving and some genius thought hiring a hack like Morrison was a good idea. In the meantime , here are my thoughts on the movie Apocalypse 2016...the review...  per say

Well, it's a landmark in the X-Men history and any set of films really does need to deal with it at some point.

I'd just like to have seen The Age Of Apocalypse done as a trilogy.
The 90's animated series was excellent and it still not matched for getting iconic story lines into a screen forma, well, except the final series where it all went tits up.
I only collected the comics until the millennium, figured that was the best date to stop. Plus, running out of storage space - lol.

... not if one knows what to adapt, hehehehe...Hell one could straight up jump from X-Factor's main stories then jump to the true meat at hand. As for the ideal format, I'd wager that the "Doomed Megalopolis" OVA is mostly how Age Of Apocalypse should be adapted www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2ABTi… (Kato himself having some common characteristics with Nur...)... that tense atmosphere , that visceral edge, it needed its own poster ! Symphony Of The Fittest

devilkais In reply to ImpulsiveSpidercide [2017-11-27 23:44:47 +0000 UTC]

Well it is mostly due to the fact that my selection has very little to do with the Claremont "legendary" era. I do like some of the dude's creations BUT the best versions of them came right after he left. As you know, I judge things for their own worth and while Claremont was necessary to increase the scope of the book, I would never be an x-men fan had he not been replaced by Lobdell and Nicieza or if Louise Simonson was not on X-Factor. And yet they get the shaft constantly.

ImpulsiveSpidercide In reply to devilkais [2017-11-28 01:30:34 +0000 UTC]

Well to put simply, the mass thinks that Magneto is the "best antagonist ever" for the x-men. I wish to cast said notion into the dust because
1) He's only the archenemy of Pr Xavier... you kill the bald guy, he's just not needed anymore
2) His corpse is actually loaded with more potential than the actual guy.
3) He's nowhere near as sympathetic as his reputation implies...
4) In this poster, Apocalypse AND Sinister are the main bosses ! The symbols around come from comics about their origins and Cable's ! And that my friend is where the true EPIC is at !

You did it again   I always enjoy your unabashedly subjective and opinionated rants, and the character selections that you've put your heart and soul into

78.media.tumblr.com/30173244b9… It's so sad that the X-franchise is at such a low point right now. I think it has already hit rock bottom (with all the Inhumans travesty) but I'm not sure it has even started climbing back up yet.

If this is not a passion project I don't know what is.

You excel when it comes to group pictures. I know I don't comment on your pictures as much as your writings usually but that's only because your essays/rantings are usually rather fun to read. And I have followed your works long enough to not except Xavier or Wolverine or Magneto to make too many appearances. I am rather surprised though not to find Cyclops here.

And since you're casting voices how about Beast Wars' Megatron for Stryfe?

Well it is. Tired of comics blogs and forums whining and bitching ? Well I am the panacea to all those woes and ills, for I am a man of celebration.

I am really pleased  you like the essay (since I don't think of myself as that good on that department. At best, I avoid being pedantic and that is what's important...).
Let's be real here : Was Logan worth much since the Hama days ? Nope. Has Xavier ever been interesting post-Onslaught ? No. Would the Acolytes be more vivd with Magneto's demise ? Assuredly ! And yet we had to endure in the frigging Live-Action garbage from the 00's and on ! Enough is Enough !
As for Cyke, there is a reference to both him and Rachel if you closely look at Jean and Nathan.
I hope you liked my picks ! Because that was a question I have been asking myself...

Well I imagined Brian Blessed's Clayton as to how Stryfe would talk (full of smarm and theatrality) but David Kaye is another good choice, yeeeessss...

Only 70% of the X-Men fandom? I wouldn't be surprised if you lost all of them.

I jest, mainly because I wonder how anyone could still be invested in the X-Men at this point due to the fact that they will never make any progress on the whole humans and mutants living together thing. I still care about the franchise, but I've given up any hope that the X-Men will achieve their goal outside my personal narrative (where I have the X-Men actually earn the trust of the public, albeit because they were the only heroes acting like heroes while everyone else was at each others' throats due to outside manipulations and ideological differences, and they have to fight to keep that trust). That and my general apathy towards Marvel at the moment. Not because of "bad" storytelling, but merely not caring about the future of the Marvel Universe due to how formulaic comics are these days.

Well Cable comes close to achieve said goals. But hey, no one gives a damn about the greatest Marvel Superhero...
I guess I'll lose all the fandom as I have picked great and underused characters. Unlike the overrated or "story is told" usual choices. And what do you think of my picks ?

I think they're pretty good picks, although I only know half the characters, but that's what I like about your content. It opens my eyes to aspects of Marvel's iconic characters that flew under my radar.
