Description
Usually, when someone describes a good looking man, the word “tall” precedes other adjectives, such as hair color, eye color, etc. To me, outer beauty depends on facial features and proportions, not height, and it applies to men as well. That’s why, when I read: “a tall, dark-haired man”, I do not instantly assume that the man is handsome. Not all small men are fat and bald. Besides, I’m not one of those women who like to feel tiny and vulnerable compared to the man they’re with, so when I’m next to a tall guy I feel like a dwarf. No offense, tall guys. My point is that both tall and small men can be handsome.

I don't feel fat and bald men are automatically not beautiful either.

Of course, I'm very tall, so if I required men to be taller than I am, that'd slim my pickings considerably. I'd like to think even if I were short it wouldn't be a factor, but since I can't poke a hole through the space time continuum and ask alternate-universe me how they grew up and what they think, *shrug*

I agree with you, when people always add tall, I'm confused. Why do they have to be tall? So what if they are short, for all you know maybe you'll get married to a short guy in the future!

I'm a short girl, so height is something I overlook....

I agree. There was a pretty short guy that went to a church I used to go to and I didn't find him any less attractive then the majority of tall guys that I've seen. In fact, I thought he was rather good looking. I am now fangirling over someone who is very tall but it has absolutely NOTHING to do with his height whatsoever. To me, height doesn't matter, personality is everything.

I remember saying I wanted to date a girl that was taller than me and my step-mom told me women only want men that's taller than them.

Not always true, although due to my tiny height it would be almost impossible for me to find a smaller man, haha.

Being tall is one of my turn-on's, definitely. But that doesn't only mean that I only like tall guys. Small guys are ADORABLE!

My thoughts exactly. There's this English actor I like called Jamie Bell, and he's SOOOO handsome, but a lot of people don't think so because he's only 5'7". I don't care that he's small, I love him!!!!

As a lad of five feet and two inches, I salute you!
(Mind, I was also fortunate enough to find a gorgeous lady who held the same opinion as this stamp . . . Mind, it seemed as though every other girl on the flippin' planet disagreed. Anyway, she is five inches taller than I am, and we both think it's cute )
Thank you for making this! I'm sure I won't be the only one who finds it to be a breath of fresh air.

WOW, it really means a lot to me that it made you happy! I was mostly talking about outer appearance, which means that if I see a random man on the street, his height is not going to affect whether or not I consider him handsome, but when it comes to relationship, I think that it is even less relevant. Most people who responded to the stamp were girls, for whom it might be hard to imagine themselves in the guys' shoes. Huge respect to your lady, I wish you both all the best! You are the one who made me happy by your words, actually.

Well, of course it's not the only thing.
I guess it would be more important to say it can make it or break it with me.
A short guy is a deal breaker. I've never seen someone tall-but-disproportionate, though.

It's a matter or taste. Not everyone has to think the way I do, so thanks for sharing anyway.
I'm a short person myself, and it's not my fault, so if I were rejected because of my height I would be hurt. I'm a girl, however, so it doesn't happen to me, but I imagine how a guy might feel.

Well, like you said, it's a matter of taste, there are plenty of people who don't care, and I'm sure there are plenty who prefer them short (particularly females).

True. (I also look at the person inside. The personality. I don't judge on looks, weight or height. We are who we are.) I do know a man who's quite handsome, who is a little shorter than I am. (I'm 5'7")

Well, when I'm walking down the street among people I don't know or if I'm just judging a celebrity's looks, I do notice appearance, and that's when I don't think that height is important. When it's someone I know personally, it doesn't matter.
Thanks for the comment. ^^
