Description
It’s good to do what you enjoy. I don’t think pleasure is a sin at all, unless it harms others. But the problem with us, people, is that we like to defend what we enjoy by saying that it’s normal. We justify our craziest actions by accusing evolution for giving us developed brains and hands. We justify cruelty by saying it’s an inborn instinct. On the other side, if there’s something we don’t like, some of us either say that it’s abnormal, or that we’re civilized enough to choose reason over instincts.-We all have the right to watch TV, play video games and surf the Web. We take those things for granted even though they are not something that nature has given us.
-I have the right not to eat corpses no matter whether or not people are carnivores in nature. When I see ham, it always comes to my mind that it once was a piece of someone’s leg. If we are naturally not meant to think of meat as of something that was once alive, fine. To me, cruelty is an unnecessary instinct unless it’s essential to survive in the wild. Some of the instincts that died in us are more important. We consume more natural resources than we should, so I’m glad I can abstain from consuming at least one. It’s just me, so no offense.
-I don’t think that someone who has sex for fun and not for its primary purpose is more normal than an asexual. However, to me neither choice is wrong and choosing either way is better than having as many children as one’s body is capable to produce.
-Of course, the craziest thing is to say that someone is not normal because that person wears something different or listens to something different. There is no normal or abnormal when it comes to clothes and music, because styles were invented by people, besides, it’s the matter of taste.
Let’s admit it, many things we do are not natural. That isn’t going to stop us from doing them. So let’s not insult people who do not enjoy something we can’t live without by saying they’re detached from nature and stuff like that. You can’t force another person to like something, especially when it’s a matter of feelings, not choice. Besides, most of the “natural” things we are given are meant for survival, not pleasure, in the first place. So let’s just enjoy things without inventing excuses to do so. Defending all the crap we do by calling it the will of nature and rejecting things that we do not consider natural doesn’t make someone a nature-lover.

We do things that are both natural and unnatural, demonizing either based on personal moral beliefs is idiotic. If it's not harming someone else should be anyone's only concern.

You deserve a medal!
It annoys me when people justify or defend immoral ways, such as global warming, by saying, "IT'S NATURE!" But then blame other animals for some tiny problem.

being unnatural is becoming natural to be honest. unless we all said "fuck it" and ran around
naked in the woods with 10 kids or so, we aren't truly "natural."

Besides, most of the “natural” things we are given are meant for survival, not pleasure, in the first place.
Survival to me is meaningless if there's nothing to survive for. Yes, they were meant to be for survival in the first place, but why bother if in the end it won't matter because everything we enjoy is considered unnecessary? I mean, think about it. Would it really matter if the world ended because humans went extinct since humans wouldn't even be around to witness it and care? For that matter, we try and make the world a better place but if the things we enjoy to do are unnecessary then there's no reason to improve the world. Every productive thing we do on this planet is done by the reason to benefit human life and ensure they enjoy their life in this universe.
Also, sex is not just for reproduction or fun. It's also for bonding and sharing love between two people. Of course, that doesn't mean we should bash asexuals I agree.
Just thought I argue there, if that's not too much for you.

My description makes it quite clear that the purpose of this stamp is not to say that things done for pleasure are unnecessary. It is against making excuses for doing something you enjoy by saying that it's natural. Natural or not, as long as we like it we'll do it. Nothing's wrong with that.

Okay. I do agree, the natural argument is starting to get overkill.

You can actually click on "reply" above your comment and then on "top" to see the first comment. And if you click the stamp title you'll see it.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm the one who misunderstood you. What I meant is, many people point fingers at others saying that what they are doing is not natural, even though each and every one of us does unnatural things everyday. On the other hand, they justify all the crap they do by saying it's natural. I think, in the time we live, it's unavoidable to do things that are unnatural to some extent, and "natural" things might not always be good.

I am annoyed by some of this "natural" crap.In general, people love to make exuses for their action and maybe that is natural as well.
I hope my comment was appropriate enough.I have no problem with you demanding one.I also wouldnt want to see people being rude to each other, while commenting on my deviations as well.

It's okay, I don't think your honesty is rude like those hate comments. ^^ Yeah, telling a person that they can't do something because it's unnatural is not very wise, because everyone defies their instincts sometimes.

The real reason we should drop the 'natural' argument is because humans are a part of nature. Just because we've built houses hasn't changed that (after all, we build complex tools through our naturally evolved additional brain function). Therefore anything humans do is part of nature, natural by definition.

No matter what's the reason, I think it should be dropped as well. Although, I still think that some decisions made by humans are made by THEM, not nature.
