A folder with ALL the 100 bullets cover artwork would be an amazing birthday present. My birthday is on Feb. 11

Incredibly well done! There's something so powerful in greasy, thick outline and delicate linework inside it...
Now negative space... the meaning of it was explained to me differently but it doesn't rpevent me to enjoy this marvellous illustration.

Who told you negative space was a bad thing?

No, no, you misunderstood me, Sir. A DIFFERENT THING, not that it's bad. See, I worked in Amblimation studio in London UK and one of the top Disney and Don Bluth animators introduced me to the concept, explaining that negative space is the space created by a, say, character's limb [bent arm & hand on waist, like Superman for instance] - the 'hole' formed makes the negative space etc.
What I understood from then on is - negative space is creation of a 'hole' by characters inter-action and seeing through the formed 'frames' the background and such.
Obviously either I misunderstood the idea or it was told me from a subjective point of view.
THANK YOU FOR WRITING.

I don't know "100 Bullets" at all, but I love this work. I guess I need to find the books.

I love how the BG becomes the clothing. Great use of negative space!
