Everything That Rises by Moby

I haven't been the best of people over the last few months, I haven't been the best girlfriend, infact some would say the worst really. My heart and head arn't in the same place they used to be and everytime I sit down at this desk and pick up that tablet pen I wonder where it will all lead to. I miss how carefree I was 2 years ago, how I could turn a piece of art out and I'd automatically love it. I've changed and not for the better; I found that I hated myself more and more as time went by because I caved in to a rule book that even I don't know the regulations to. I loved Moby once; a very long time ago and this past month when I was clearing out I found his album "18" and remembered just how much his music meant to me. I take inspiration from all kinds of genres and some songs don't have words, but that doesn't mean I can't hear them and I HATE that I've let other people's problems and other people's hate infiltrate my love of art. I want to get back to who I was, so here's a new beginning, a new chapter to my life. I'm letting go of what was before and moving on; I'm rising up with everything that rises. A new leaf. x
