Hidden Light - Chapter 2

Abby was sure she was dead there was nothing but darkness around her. It was grabbing at her trying to drag her down into it`s depths. Abby began to shout for help. She knew it wouldn't do any good there was no-one in this vast darkness just her but then she felt someone touch her face.
"She's still sleeping"
"I heard her shout i`m sure of it"
Abby was confused she could hear two voices within the darkness. One was female and the other male.
sleeping? I can't be sleeping......its not possible ....im dead aren't i? Abby thought then closed her eyes. She was falling even deeper into the darkness. Suddenly a warm light hit Abby`s face. She opened her eyes to see what it was and she saw a white ceiling.
"Hello there!"
Abby sat up quickly. She wasn't in the darkness anymore she was sat in a bedroom draped with red and gold. Sat at the edge of the double bed Abby had been led in was a woman with silver hair and aqua eyes. Abby looked round the room wondering where she was and how she got there.
"Your safe there's no need to worry. My name`s Liliana. Whats yours?"- Liliana
"A-Abby" - Abby
Liliana looked so pretty with her shoulder length silver hair pulled back with a clip. She looked even prettier when she smiled like she had done when Abby had told her her name.
"I`ve don't believe i`ve seen you on the island before where about's are you from?" - Liliana
"Twilight Avenue or at least i did" - Abby
"I don't think there is a Twilight Avenue on the Island but Riku will know"- Liliana
"Riku?"- Abby
"He`s my son. He`s just gone out"- Liliana

Abby and Liliana had sat in the red and gold bedroom talking for a while.Well Liliana had done most of the talking and at one point Liliana had taken Abby`s tattered plats out and began to brush through her hair with her fingers. Then put a hair pony tail in her hair with a bang either side of Abby`s face. Liliana had always wanted a daughter but with her husband, Riku's father, dieing when Riku was only 3 she couldn't and there had never been another that she loved. It was just her and Riku now.
"MUM I'M BACK!"
"Oh that will be Riku now. I`ll be back in a second"- Liliana
Liliana smiled at Abby then left the room. She walked downstairs to see her son putting away the shopping he had just collected. Liliana stood and watched him. He looked so much like his father. Riku`s silver hair shone and it almost covered half of his face but you could always see his aqua eyes that seemed to hide behind the mass of silver hair.
"How is she mum?"- Riku
"She's awake. Has been since you left. Riku do you know anywhere called Twilight Avenue?" - Liliana
"Not on the island why?" - Riku
"She says that's where she lives" - Liliana
"I`ll go talk to her" - Riku

Riku made his way upstairs to the guest room. He grabbed the handle but it began to turn itself and suddenly the door came at him and hit him in the face.
"Owww!" - Riku
"Oh I'm sorry i didn't know you where there!"
Riku looked at the girl who had just opened the door and as fascinated by her eyes. They were an emerald colour and sparkled even in the dull light of the hallway but a sad past was hidden within them.
"Are you alright?"
"I`m fine don't worry.....I`m Riku" - Riku
"Abby...Where am i exactly?" - Abby
"Destiny Islands" - Riku
"Is that anywhere near Twilight Avenue?"- Abby
"No i don't think so" - Riku
"How far did i walk last night?!?" - Abby
"Last night! You`ve been out of it for 3 days!" - Riku
"3 days? Well at least i survived that fall!" - Abby
"I`m not sure you should be out of bed you`re talking nonsense!"- Riku
Abby was about to argue back when Liliana appeared at the top of the stairs.
"Are you hungry Abby? I`ll make something"- Liliana
Abby was about to decline but then her stomach growled at her and she felt in pain from not eating since 4 days ago.
"Yes please if it`s no trouble" - Abby
"No trouble at all...You're such a sweet girl" - Liliana
Abby smiled. Why couldn't she of had someone like Liliana as a foster mother instead of Lena who by now would be glad that Abby was gone! She'd phone the school and tell them that Abby had transferred or some-thing like that. She wouldn't care that Abby had disappeared. Abby thought she could ask Liliana to be her foster mother untill she was 18 and that wasn't too far away.

"So Abby was it?" - Riku
Riku brought Abby out of her thought bubble. He could tell she didn't like that by the look on her face.
"yeah it is"- Abby
"I think it might be best for you to stay here for a while"- Riku
"What? On the landing?"- Abby
"No i meant at my house we have a spare room" - Riku
"Where`s your house?" - Abby
"Abby this is my house" - Riku
Abby remembered Liliana saying something about a son named Riku!
"Oh! So your Lilana`s son!" - Abby
"Yes" - Riku *Anime Sweatdrop* -.-'
