Description                                             Hidden Light - Chapter 1

The street of Twilight Avenue was a perfectly normal and friendly place. The only disturbance that ever happened on this little street came from number 13, when the Valentines had a disagreement with their foster daughter. A girl of 16 with long black hair named Abby. Other than that nothing happened on the little street and that`s why Abby hated it so much .... It was all so false.

Abby was making her way back from school. Another place she hated. It was a private school that her foster parents had sent her to. All the kids there were from posh families and where in fact stuck up brats. None of them ever talked to Abby because she `wasn't like them`. Abby prefered it that way as she was left to do what she wanted such as read or draw. Abby got out her keys to the door. She sighed as she undid the lock and opened the door. It was a pretty average house, it had a kitchen with a dinning room just offset from it, a sitting room. Upstairs there was two bedrooms and a bathroom. Abby was only allowed in her room and the bathroom without permission. Abby took her shoes off at the door and was going to make her way upstairs when she was shouted.
"Abby! Come to the dining room please"
Abby dropped her bag at the bottom of the stairs and walked into the dining room where she saw her foster mother sat with someone else she recognised. It was her social worker Richard Price.
"Hello Abby. It`s nice to see you again" - Richard
"Hello Rich....Mr Price" - Abby
Abby looked at Lena, her foster mother. Her blonde hair was gelled back as usual and she didn't look to pleased. Abby was hoping that Richard had come to take her away from this house and put somewhere that wasn't so ....perfect!
"Mr Price is here as the school have said that your being very anti-social towards the other children and they began to get worried about you" - Lena
"May i ask where Mr. Valentine is?" - Richard
"He`s working over seas at the moment" - Lena
"Right okay....Abby is there something troubling you?" - Richard
Abby looked from Richard to Lena. She just wanted to shout out ` i hate it here i want to go away far away and never see this place again!
"Abby answer Mr Price please" - Lena
"N-no...there`s nothing wrong Mr Price i just prefer to read and be alone that's all" - Abby
"Alright well if it`s nothing i will take my leave" - Richard
"I will show you out Mr Price" - Lena
"Bye Abby it was nice to see you well and im sorry to have troubled you" - Richard
While Lena showed Richard out Abby tried to make a break for her room but Lena stopped her as she reached the second step.
"Abby whats going on?" - Lena
"Nothing" - Abby
"Your lying! You know me and your father hate lies" - Lena
"Your not my mother Lena! and he`s not my father so stop trying to be!" - Abby
Abby grabbed her bag and ran up to her room. She locked the door so Lena couldn't burst in. Abby threw herself on the bed and began to cry. She missed her real parents. They had died little under a year ago. Abby still didn't know how. She sat up and dried her eyes. Abby decided that she was going to leave tonight. She began to pack. Abby was still wearing her school uniform so packed a pair of jeans and t-shirt along with her pencils and sketch pad. Before she put her sketch pad in she looked at her latest drawing. She couldn't understand why she had drawn a spikey hair boy or the giant key he was holding. Abby ran her hand over the picture.
"....Sora.....huh? Where`d i get that name from?" - Abby
Abby grabbed a pencil and scribled the name Sora underneath it then packed the sketch book in her bag with her favourate book. Now all she had to do was wait for Lena to either fall asleep or leave the house.

"Goodnight Abby" - Lena
Abby waited an hour before she unlocked her door and made her way downstairs towards her escape. Abby put on her shoes at the bottom of the stairs then carefully and quietly opened the door. Outside it looked stormy but there was no rain yet. Abby closed the door and locked it. She then took the door key off her keyring and posted it through the letter box. Abby stopped and looked at her keyring. It was a small crystal heart with wings closed around it. It had once belonged to her mother but everytime Abby tried to see her mother with it the keyring was somehow different. Abby shook off the feeling and put the keychain back in her pocket and began to walk away from Twilight Avenue. Abby knew her way around pretty well but when she came to a town square with highrise buildings decorated in neon she knew she`d got herself lost. She had never seen this part of town before it looked pretty creapy because no matter how much the neon tried to light up the square shadow and darkness where everywhere. Abby ent and sat on the stairs of the tallest skyscapper and tried to get her bearings.
"Think Abby...where are you?" - Abby
Suddenly little creatures began to emurge from the ground. Abby didn't know what to do so she just ran. She carried on running untill she reached a street that didn't lead anywhere but a shear drop. Abby saw a white castle like stucture floating over head but there wasn't anyway to get to it. Abby turned to look down the street she had come down. The things where still following her. Abby began to use her bag to hit the things back but it was no good there were too many and Abby was tired from running. She kept hitting them the best she could but she lost her footing and fell backwards into the drop. Everything was so dark Abby could only see the white castle then that was gone as well. Everything around her had gone dark, she couldn't see where she was falling. Abby didn't know how far the drop was then she hit the ground it fell like sand beneath her and she could hear the sea. Abby was sure she was dead she had to be after a fall like that. She attempted to get up but was too weak and she fell into the sand-type floor.
