I only just recently became invested into the "Evil Dead" franchise (thanks to watching the entire first season of Ash vs Evil Dead during a rainy day off) ; the lore behind it, the design of the demons & deadites, the characters, the cheesy/over the top humor, the gore...it's all pretty awesome. I decided to give drawing the hero himself, Ash "El Jeffe" Williams, a shot & all in all I think it came out quite nicely. In all honesty, Ash has quickly become one of my favorite heroes in general fiction because he's so different from a ton of other heroic characters. The guy's not just in the wrong place at the right time (or vice versa), he's not on a quest for vengeance, he's not a "wandering hero", he's not a soldier of fortune looking to atone for his misdeeds, he's DEFINITELY not a superhero; he's a loveable idiot that (usually) is just cleaning up his own messes that happens to be a prophecized hero. & I think that when combined with Bruce Campbell's wit & sense of humor makes for a pretty great character.
