Description
The rain spills out of my own rain cloud that follows me. The rainwater soaks into my jeans and they stick to my cold, shaking body. My sweater has absorbed a lot of it as well. I can no longer tell which are the tears and which is the rain falling down my face. I stand up, becoming less sheltered from the rain, but I have stopped minding so much. The grass isn’t visible because of the shadowing sky, but I feel it on my toes as I pace back and forth, and I stumble over myself as I stumbled over my words with you seconds ago. The dark sky hangs above, threatening to consume me. The only words I knew from the song “I’ll Be” repeat themselves in my head.
I’ll be your crying shoulder,
I’ll be love suicide,
I’ll be better when I’m older,
I’ll be the greatest fan of your life.
I realize that the tears are because I’m leaving, I’m going home, and I can’t go on much longer without knowing how I feel, how you feel. You opened a new door for me, even though I seemed to be trying to keep it shut in the beginning. You are good at so many things, and you are willing and open to everybody. You bring out something new in me. The songs you sang were wonderful, the conversations meaningful, and the things you taught me were helpful. I am so confused and so alone. I want you to come back; I don’t want to go inside. I want to talk all night. I want to know…I want to know how I feel. Lightening fills the endless sky, and I wish it would swallow me up, but not really, because I know everything will be fine. All Will Be Well.
