Erin doesn't display her true nature to other trainers right away or for a while, she's a bit fake and she's not afraid to admit that.

Not much is known about Erin's past. Erin grew up the majority of her life in an orphanage, abandoned by her parents since she was an infant, Erin holds no memory of her parents whatsoever. Growing up in the orphanage, Erin was ostracized for looking... different. Her white hair, ruby eyes. All the kids left her out because "she's weird." Despite Erin's early attempts to befriend the other kids, she eventually grew distant from the orphanage and everyone in it in slight spite. Her spiteful attitude and refusal to cooperate often gotten her in trouble with the caretakers as well as provided difficulties in finding any parents who would be interested in her enough to adopt her.

This was fine. She was used to be alone anyways.

Years past by and Erin remained in the orphanage up to her teen years. Erin began sneaking out of the orphanage to explore her hometown. The more she spent outside the orphanage, exploring the alleyways, experiencing the city for the activities it's known for, the wild Pokemon she would befriend. She loved being outside, she loved the world outside of the orphanage. And Erin was going to do whatever it takes to experience it all in its full glory.

Not wanting to wait for any miracle to happen, Erin took off and never looked back. It was rough for Erin in the beginning, basically being homeless for a few months, but after some trial and error, Erin was able to manage for a while. Erin took a part-time job, saving up money to pay rent and to making a living (though barely). She loves her hometown, she really did. But Erin looked beyond the city and felt a yearning, a want to explore, to experience, to gain something she couldn't get when she was younger. Erin never regretted leaving the orphanage, she wasn't going to regret to become a trainer either.
