Description
*coughs* so much for this being a jewellery gallery..... I'll try limit it to jewellery and books, though no doubt other anomalies will sneak in..I made these far too late last night, but I'm very pleased with them. In a cute kind of way. They are made from 110gsm sketchbook paper, lightweight card and recycled paper (the covers). The two stars may have been off a chocolate box.. one of these things I've been saving in a box just in case I ever used them - and look! I did... (victory)
Approx 5cm by 4cm, 40 leafs (leaves?)

Oh wow these are so cute, I used to know how to make these, but have since forgotten. Maybe I'l look it up again.
These are just so simple, yet I want more.

About how long does it take to to make one little book? Most crafty things I can't do simply because I don't have the patience or attention span for them.

books take patience... I was up until about two in the morning with these.... there's a lot that can go wrong, even though it's not that difficult, but once something goes wrong you're buggered

that's what the binding stitch looks like to me.
maybe i'm wrong?
coptic stitching looks like a braid, and allows the book to lay flat like that.
this book has coptic stitching: [link]

nice looking stitch.. I must try it some time
I'm afraid this is just plain old made-it-up-myself-stitch.... because I wanted books to lay flat for writing

well thanks for introducing me to a stitch! I've been meaning to learn in "official" bind, but didn't even know what to search for
