Great to hear from you again. No, the photograph is an original...digitized from a Kodachrome 32 color slide. The Washington Monument was actually "built" twice due to a contruction pause due to war. The upper layers of masonry used for the final construction were of a different type than the previous stones used when the construction for the Washington monument first began. Guess I've got a friend in you, for you are at least on top of things. You've got a good eye...stay in touch. Peace!!!
