Description
Sometimes, I wonder if I should have incorporated the iconic cracks and outfit into my base Gaster design. Most of the time when I draw him, I pull from a time in his life where he sports neither. They both show up later on, when things are starting to really go pear-shaped. So here's a Gaster with both!W.D. Gaster, Undertale (c) Toby Fox

*comes in with Spackle for precious grumpy grandpa*
I do like the appearance he has with the cracks, I wont deny it; I think knowing a bit of his backstory, it adds a concrete visual to his age and the amount of stress that he's been under. But that being said, I'm so used to seeing a very coiffed, pristine A!Gaster that the first thing I want to do seeing the cracks on his face is give him a hug and a shiteload of band-aids.

Yeaaaah, I gotta admit... he kinda looks badass with the cracks and the outfit. Stress is definitely a factor in the various timelines I have for him. Lots of overexertion and not enough rest. Oof, I just wish I didn't fudge the little details so much. I keep flipping between a slimmer jaw and a broader one. As for your reaction, it isn't terribly far from his own. I can imagine the first time a crack showed up, he sat in front of his vanity trying various ways of covering it up!
Thank you so much for your comment
