Well I just like, I don't know how to go about practicing perspective without getting really scared/frustrated with it! I try to draw a simple, standing person sometimes in perspective, but to try more dynamic things, or to draw whole scenes... I just don't know where to start with something like that! D: Any tips?

Ahaaa. Well the way I started learning perspective is I practiced foreshortening a lot. It and the "1/2/3/etc point perspective" go hand in hand a lot! And drawing things overlapping really makes you start thinking about things in space. Once you get those down, I guarantee point perspective will be less intimidating X)

Hmmmmmmmm, yeah, I'll try to do it when I can... do you try to picture scenarios, then, or like... characters sitting on boxes, sketching out surroundings to help really get that overlapping sense? I have a lot of trouble with showing depth... :/

well, for scenarios, it'll depend on the focus of the picture~ if you're trying to go for a really scenic shot, then i would suggest drawing the scenario first, and then filling it in with your characters. And then vice-versa for the opposite.
As for depth, it's hard for me too, cause i tend to only outline lines and not really touch on shading xD;; A couple techniques for depth would be line weight, and shading. Again, I never practiced these when i should have been (I'ma derp). Lineweight would be the quality of the lines; the closer in space it is, the bolder the lines are. And for shading, as objects recede into the bg, the detailing becomes less visible.

Oh nonono, that was definitely useful! I'll keep trying, I do tend to sketch chars before setting, so I'll try to draw more scenes first, then add chars. I'm not at all used to drawing small figures yet, and getting things to scale... gotta keep workin on it! 8C
