Description
It is the year 2060, the world has fallen into chaos. The only explanation to this is one word, revenge. Not even two years has passed since the awakening of the worlds greatest terror...dragons. And one would think that there's not so many due to all the stories of their extinction, but yet again, the scientists were wrong. There were more than dozens, humans sought to find shelter underground, in the darkness of metros and caves, safe from the roaring fires of the dragons wrath. But yet, there were few to stay on the surface, hidden in forests where they were to be least expected... This is the story of one such individual. With a yawn Aisa awoke in the cabin of her parents. The sun shone bright upon the sky, not a cloud in sight...and no dragons either...strange. But she did not take that to mind as she simply got dressed in her rags. Her clothes had, since long, been tattered, just like her mothers and fathers. She put one arm through the wrong hole, making her giggle as this was somewhat a routine for her. Then, after getting dressed, she made the bed halfheartedly and looked around her room as there was a chance that people could come inside and steal anything...but she had everything. Her set of old dolls she got when she was five and then, beneath her straw filled pillow, the knife she'd got from her father in case she'd have to defend herself. She'd never used it, thankfully there wasn't many around them...at all..
The thought of her father made her smile and she made the mistake of taking a deep breath. Vile stench filled her nostrils...it was a mix of her own body, since there was almost no chance to shower, and the sharp smell of her fathers homemade coffee..ugh..
Her father was very smart, he'd come up with a way to make a liquid which resembled coffee in many ways by mixing herbs and other things, things she had no idea what they were. The good thing with the coffee was that it also had the same effect as cough syrup...again, ugh....
Then there was her mother, caring, strict and funny, all in one! She as the perfect mother. Her mother had something unique though, she had discovered something ancient...magic. Magic that could hep in shores at home, but not powerful enough to win a war. Plus, it was very demanding so it wasn't used all that much.
Then, after adjusting to the scent of coffee and herself, she made way downstairs, greeting her parents in the dinning room. “Hi, mom! Hello, dad!” She exclaimed cheerfully. She was very cheerful...a trait which made it possible for her mother and father to get up every morning. “Good morning, Aisa.” Her father, Tobias, said with a smile and a mug of coffee in his hand. On his lap rested a newspaper from two years ago. The paper had become more expensive since it made a big risk for the postman to come over the surface nowadays. Now they got no news at all, the ones on the surface, that is. The only good thing with the dragons were that they had, somehow through magic, cured the worst diseases like cancer and Ebola...but only because they got sick when eating the humans with those kind of diseases.
Her mother smiled. “Hello dear, happy birthday!” She giggled and hugged her. That's right, it's been ten years... ten years since she was born into a promising world only to grow up in hiding eight years later. Her mother and father were happy for her, and there usually wasn't any gifts. She just hoped to survive another year. But this day, her mother and father seemed very..grim. What had happened? She wondered. “Mom?” She looked at her and her mother answered her gaze. “Yes?” Her mother was beautiful, a woman Aisa wanted to be like, with a smile to dazzle entire cities and eyes sharp enough to pierce stone. “Has...has anything happened...?” This question took away the smile on both her father and mother, making them look down a little before regaining control. “No, not at all sweety, what makes you think that?” Her father said in a cheerful way, making her smile. “I don't know, dad.” She smiled and the conversation ended there.
Then after eating breakfast and talking to mom and dad they all seemed very relieved. That's when her mother took the opportunity. “Aisa?” “Yes, mom?” Aisa smiled and looked into her mothers eyes. “You are a big girl now....and you know how to take care of yourself...” Aisa thought nothing of the sad tone her mother had. “Yes mom! I've had you two learning me!” She giggled and her mother smiled bitterly. “Well...we'll have to go for a while...” She swallowed hard. Aisa stopped smiling. “W-what...?” She tilted her head. “What do you mean...?” This was too much for her mother who said no more. Instead her father took over. “You see, Aisa, we have been ordered to help a group a few miles north from here...but we'll be back as soon as possible...you'll have to stay here, sweety..” He smiled sadly. This was all going too fast for Aisa. “T-this is a joke...right...?” She wanted her mother and father to nod and break into laughter...but they did not, her father only shook his head. “No...it isn't, we'll be away for a couple of days, and we'll think of you every day...but we will be back and we'll have cake as s thanks for looking after the house.” She smiled and hugged her. This was nothing Aisa said no too, she only embraced her father as well, tears welling up. “W-will you really be back...? Promise me that you'll be back, dad never breaks promises...” She smiled and he smiled back, patting her head gently. He looked into her eyes, blue as they were. “I promise.”
The day passed slowly, painfully slow. Until the dreaded moment when her parents were to take their leave. There were a few men outside the door, wearing camouflage. They looked strong, keeping a carbine against their chests. “Aisa, come here..” Her mother told her, and she came. “What is it, mom?” Aisa asked as her mother opened up a cabinet, pulling out a package. “This is your birthday gift. You were supposed to get it later, but I decided to let you have it now.” Her mother smiled. “What's in it?” Aisa was overjoyed, it was the first present she'd gotten in two years. “You'll have to open it yourself. But I must tell you to not open it until we've left the house and you must stand in front of it...” Her mother smiled a little more, putting it down. “Why?” Aisa was pretty confused, why did she have to do all that? “It's because-” Her mother said, only to be interrupted. “Miss, we've gotta move, now.” Said one of the soldiers harshly. “You'll just have to do it, ok, Aisa? Repeat what I said.” She sighed and Aisa repeated. “Wait until you guys leave and stand in front o it...” She got it. “Good girl...” Her mother said and hugged her, and then came her father to join in the hug. “We'll be thinking of you..” They both said and Aisa nodded. They took a few minutes to say bye properly, against the protests of the soldiers. And then...they were gone. They left Aisa alone, and suddenly the house seemed much bigger, more threatening...
She sat there, in front of the package, as her mother had showed her.Strange request, she admitted before taking a deep breath. She sighed and undid the ribbon on top and slowly bent down the sides...and inside, looking right at her, sat a red fox with a pearly white underbelly. She gasped but it did not attack as they often did nowadays. It just..sat here, blinking and looking at her with intense golden eyes. She gathered courage and slowly put her hand to it, letting it sniff her hand... and that it did. IT sniffed her hand and took its eyes off her which made her feel a little more at ease. It even gave her hand a lick, which was incredibly soothing somehow. She slowly stood up and it did he same, standing on all fours. “How could mother have captured you and how did you survive in that box....?” She asked herself as it scratched its ear with its back right leg. She giggled and sat on the sofa in the living room. It was true that much of the furniture was very well used...but the sofa was a sight for sore eyes compared to everything else. As she sat down the fox immediately set after her, running up to her and jumping onto the sofa, now looking at her again. But it looked somewhat more relaxed now. She patted her lap gently, only to have the fox coming over and lying down on it obediently. “How strange....”She whispered and the fox's ears twitch a little. She giggled and scratched behind them and it made a most peculiar sound...it sounded as if it was murring. And, as far as she'd heard and knew, they never did that. She wasn't sure if they even could... But she cared naught for it, she'd gotten company and that was all she wanted, a cute and cuddly fox, who would want anything more?
Then she remembered that there wasn't enough food for the both of them...but weren't foxes natural hunters? Just like cats? She sighed and rubbed its neck and tummy, making it roll over to it's back, displaying the pearly white belly which she happily rubbed, making the strange fox murr louder. “I think I'll call you....Happy.” She giggled as the fox almost seemed to approve of that.
A few day went by and the stone in her heart sank deeper as she thought that her parents weren't home yet..but her dad promised! He would come back, and so would mom! She knew that. These proving days were only bearable thanks to the fox which was always at her side, except for when it was out hunting. She spent her days playing with the fox, not going out very often at all as it was dangerous.
Five days after Tobias and Maria had left she was still sleeping on the couch, always sure to be awake if they came back. She felt...helpless at this point, being alone without someone who could answer back. The fox gave her strength...but it did't talk, that was to be understood though. The fox seemed to be very attached to her by this point, always wanting to be close...a real friend. She'd heard that most foxes out there were now wild and she knew of people who'd gotten overrun by them...but how could her mother keep this one so tame? It was unreasonable.. but yet, she did not complain as he always curled up close to her chest every night, taking a bit of warmth for himself.
She'd kept her parents room locked and so, it looked just as it had the day they left. She had no wish to let it get messy, she wanted her parents to be happy with how she'd done all the cleaning, from the windows to the benches and the floors! During the late day she ate dinner, just canned meat which she gave a little to the fox who immediately seemed to adore it. She giggled and gave him some more before finishing it up. Then later, after a quick nap and a full hour of playing hide and seek, once it got dark she yawned. She was done for the day, having played, cleaned, and then even played some more. But now, she felt an urge to sleep in her parents bed, she knew not why she wanted too..but she didn't like it. Not at all... She opened the door and was hit by the smell of her parents, making her eyes water a little, she missed them so much.. something touched her leg and she looked, it was the moist nose of Happy, he seemed to want to make her happier now. He jumped into the bed and rolled about, making him look miserably cute, way to cute for her not to crack a smile as she got into the bed and petted his head. “Good boy...” She giggled but then something unexpected happened. Happy opened his mouth, viewing his palate and white teeth...and then he closed it over her hand, not hurting her though... he licked at her hand and wagged his tail rapidly, murring from her..her taste...? Did she taste good, or was this just some kind of way to show kindness? She frowned and blushed. “H-Happy...? L-let go...” She said stiffly. He looked at her and whimpered softly before doing what he was told. Her hand was full of fox slobber, smelling of other animals and being very sticky. She dried it off on her own clothes, looking at him with a strange look as he wagged his tail wildly, eyes fixated on her hand. “Let's go to bed now, Happy...” Why was he acting like this now...? Had something happened...?
He got close and curled up close to her, under the cover as she hugged him to her. She cried softly, missing her parents so much. She didn't think she'd get any sleep...but then Happy did the same as before, putting his mouth over her hand, licking it gently. It had a surprisingly calming effect, making her smile weakly. He didn't want to hurt her, he was just worried...an act of compassion. She...she could let him do this, it wasn't that bad, she had every ounce of trust for him. “G-goodnight, Happy...” She smiled and hugged him closer with her other hand before falling asleep, dreaming of the day her parents would come home...
The following day started of rather strange... instead of feeling Happy's fur tickle against her...she felt something smooth instead...it felt as if there were diamond shaped patterns. She slowly opened her eyes only to see a pair of horns, pretty small, on the head of a red dragon! She screamed and threw herself out of the bed. “D-d-d-dragon!” She screams and runs into her room, taking her knife, the one she didn't want to use...guess she had to anyway. She ran back, only to see the dragon on the floor, looking at her with confused eyes. She looked straight back, keeping her distance, with great fear. The dragon took one step closer, which made her back up, getting ready to fight. This only seemed to confuse he dragon more, making it tilt its head. “G-get a-away from me!” She yelled and the dragon seemed to be taken by surprise. She couldn't handle the stress any longer, turning around to run..only to be pinned by the dragon...which seemed to have grown to be at least two times as big as herself! She struggles in fear as she drops the knife on accident.
She was completely under its control, she'd live if it wanted her alive, which was not going to happen...that's when it got its head close to hers, she got the impression that it was male, and gave her face a wet lick, making her whimper in fear. There was no reason to plead, it wouldn't work if she tried... that is when he opened his mouth to let her peek inside, like it was mocking her... What she saw scared her, razor sharp teeth, able to tear flesh from bone... and in the back, protected by a muscular tongue, was the throat. A one way tunnel with no return...
This wasn't what scared her the most, the thing that scared her the most was when the maw actually crept closer to her head. Her eyes widened in fear as soon as in had her head in its maw, making her look right at the throat. She could feel his teeth digging into her head painfully gently. She whimpered and it removed the pressure of his teeth... but slowly shoved her head inside his maw, swallowing as soon as her head came in contact with his throat. She cried and struggled wildly, trying to break lose, only to have the monstrous being murr in delight as his new meal squirmed and struggled.
She felt a pressure around her head and a stench which could be worse than the coffee...then she remembered her parents. How they got up each morning and made breakfast, drinking that disgusting coffee..she started crying more violently. They...they were dead, how could she be so naive..? That's why they hadn't come home... they'd been killed by some dragon... The depression and sorrow took over, making her go limp, thinking and pondering about what it'd be like if they hadn't left, how it will feel to die... Then, once she came to, the pressure had grown over most of her body, the only parts were her legs which could still feel the chilly air from the house. She realized how warm it was, almost unbearable, combined with the stench... then, suddenly, the pressure on her head released and she could only guess where she was at...the end-station...the belly of the beast..
She felt as her legs went inside the same tunnel as the rest of her, her body slowly curling up inside the steamy gut. This dragon had successfully eaten a ten year old girl..in less than ten minutes... it was over. She knew it was once her legs had come into the stomach where the rest of her was. She cried hard, yelping as the dragon let out a satisfied belch, which took some of the oxygen from her...her life passed before her very eyes, she'd die, she wouldn't be seen ever again....she wouldn't be able to cuddle with..with Happy...wait....Happy...? “Y-y-you monster! W-what have you d-done with H-HA-Happy!?” She screamed, not really expecting an answer.... “Happy...” It came like a whisper. “W-what...? W-where..?!” She cried. “Happy...here....” She heard, as if it was in her head... “W-what a-a-are you ta-talking about..?” She cried. “Sleepy....” The voice said and then the dragon lied down, she felt as her world tumbled around. “N-no! Let me out!” She screams but was answered with a low. “Zzzzz...urp...zzz” The dragon had fallen asleep....she was trapped within this dragon... she heard a gurgle and yelped, crying more...but..there never was any acids...she never...never died... She fell asleep as the gurgles slowly turned into something horrific into something...kind of soothing.
Later that day she woke up, only to be outside, rested against the dragons side! She whimpered and got away, taking a glimpse of the dragon...it...it was still red..with a white underbelly...like Happy... She didn't expect him to open his eyes and sit up, smiling at her...white teeth...and golden eyes...
She teared up and hugged the dragon, who pretended to be a fox...

I was working on a sequel for this, of a sort, for two years or so, but my motivation has since left me, I’m afraid.

RPs? Hmmm, well, I suppose I like the bossy pred kind of thing.
But I do enjoy friendly RPs, like, when the pred is a pet.
Emoticons are a big no.

Wait, in every apocalyptic vore story they always say they where over power, I have a hard time believing that. What I mean is this isn't the mid evil times we have guns, missiles, bombs, armored vehicles, and tanks, not to mention nuclear weapons so I don't see why humans have gone into hiding. Regardless of these this was a great story good job😉

True, of course. We have weapons, the firepower.
But how does humans fight a destructive force greater than themselves? And how do they intend to fight a creature from myth, which have a superior intellect as well as magic. Stopping bullets and rockets with magic wouldn't be hard if one had a power to create a completely impenetrable barrier.
And, this is a fictional story. Nothing says there is a power like nuclear weapons.
And thank you ^^

Your welcome, but what about chemical weapons such as tear gas, mustard gas, or just shoving a deadly disease or virus into a tube and shooting it at the dragons?

devoreisbest In reply to snipermikey02 [2016-11-04 09:05:39 +0000 UTC]
Thing is, I enjoy one thing a lot in my stories. I like to make humans weak and powerless, so those weapons wouldn't hurt them in my stories.
-Tear gas: The dragons could produce an extremely resilient layer of sorts, to keep them from harm.
-Mustard gas: The thick scales would prove to be to much for the gas, which couldn't hurt at all. And even if they did get hurt, it'd go away almost immediately.
-Virus: Now, this is a good one. Of course that'd be no help. A disease which the humans would try to use as a weapon wouldn't be strong enough to penetrative the dragons immune system. Think like this, in my stories, the dragons have always existed, but in the shadows. They've watched as the humans kill each other and they have watched the humans through all their plagues, but never have they gotten sick.
You understand? I want humans, who see themselves as high and mighty, to look pitiful. Although we already are, but we don't understand it. ^^

I understand and yes I would say the human race dose have problems such as not helping third world countries and leaders threatening to nuke each other because they don't like them. Look I was just asking because I am thinking about putting together a story of my own and making it somewhat like this except where instead of the dragons ruling the world it would be a stand off two powers holding each other neck and neck, so these comments where just to satisfie my curiosity. Anyway if I didn't already tell you great job. 👍👌

And another thing what about knifes?...and before you say " dragon will just remove it to unarm the person. Again the dragons are intelligent" I mean like what if the person has a knife hidden in his pocket and some how snuck it on the way down the throut, like internal injury, cut his/her way out?

I'm SO SORRY that I did not answer this before! D:
That question is actually very simple, you see; here is not a matter of intelligence and and magic affinity: It is about the fact that they are still animal.
They have keen ears, eyes, taste, touch and, of course, smell. The scent of iron would never escape a dragons nose.
