Description
A portrait of my friend painted entirely from scratch in Photoshop CS2 using a Graphire 4 and mouse.

He always dreamed of being a cowboy, a heroic stranger fighting for the causes of good. The pose represents his gentlemanly nature and the sunset reflects his optimism - a belief that everything will work out in the end.

I terms of technique, I approached this with my usual photorealistic style, with some Vallejo-inspired stippling and colour.
