So, this is something I found hiding in a folder from last year.Unfortunately the scanned version did come out too well. I mean you can tell it has a slight metallic look (sort of), but not as I really intended. Seems I have a little trouble scanning metallic works properly, so if anyone has any advice on that, let me know. Didn't realise how annoying it was creating a piece from a coloured pencil (had to sharpen every 5 seconds), which is why its a little rough. However, its not bad, thought it would be a shame not to at least show it.

Interesting, I really like it, it has a lot of details and thoughts you can make up
As for the colour pencils I can only agree, you use a lot of it compared to regular pencils.

My scanner is completely dead now, but then, I never scanned metallic. What it sounds like, is if you have the type of scanner that the door doesn't need to be shut all the way..try maybe a keychain flashlight, a smaller light source that is dim.
Worked, at different angles, etc.

I think it's is fantastic - I photograph all of mine and sometimes using HDR if I think the colours are going to be a bit jaded
