A small rave I attended as part of Camp Feral! It's unbelievable how difficult it is to get good interior shots of a rave with a compact digital. The fog machine and blacklight did me no service as I tried to overcome the severe lighting conditions. Out of about 80 shots, this is the only one that turned out. I happened to snap a shot with no camera flash just as the strobe light pulsed barely out of frame, illuminating the dancers without washing out their glowing splendor.Related content

Are there as many drugs at furry raves as non-furry ones?

Probably fewer drug users, because the convention organizers are accountable to the venue managers, and it's typically better to return to the same venue year after year. Feral in particular was relatively drug free. This is probably good because the nearest hospital is at least 40 minutes away.

That's a cool shot. I can't see who the DJ is... looks like someone in a white shirt. Is that Digifox? Dunno what Potoroo was wearing, but Miami was topless, and I was wearing a white tanktop with black mesh.

According to the tag on the photo file, this was 2007, around 11:00 on Thursday. My camera's clock was set to the wrong time, though, so it was a little after midnight. So, who had the decks going at midnight on the last night of Feral 2007?

Let's see... 2007 was Potoroo, Branwyn, Miami, and then me. But I was wearing that black mesh shirt over my bare chest. Maybe this is a picture of Miami behind the DJ booth during his second set. He played again after I did.
