Description
The Rangers call for the Megazord as the Q-Rex destroys the city.
From the future, the mysterious man sends the Time Shadow. Together they manage to damage the Q-Rex, but are still overpowered. They're knocked out of their Megazord, and the Q-Rex hides in a cave.
Eric goes to Mr. Collins, again requesting to be made leader of the Silver Guardians. Mr. Collins tells him he'd rather get the Time Force Rangers, with controllable Megazords.
Eric decides to try again to gain control of the Zord.
Wes again asks Eric to give the Quantum Morpher, and again, Eric refuses. Eric adds that soon he'll be the leader of Time Force.
At the Clock Tower, Mr. Collins approaches the Rangers with an offer to work for him.
Wes doesn't know what to think. Eric insists that the Time Force Rangers would be better off without him.
Eric and Wes morph and fight, and it feels like a bit of a tradition now, that a new sixth character doesn't immediately work with the Rangers. In Mighty Morphin, Tommy is possessed by Rita, and fights against his own will. Zeo had a secretive and reclusive Gold Ranger, he didn't fight the Rangers, but kept from interacting with them for a while. Turbo had the Blue Senturion who did get turned evil for a while, though not at first. Phantom Ranger was a bit similar to Trey of Zeo, however, unlike Trey he never revealed his identity. Magna Defender of Lost Galaxy recklessly carried out his own actions, without care for anyone in his way. He eventually redeemed himself and passed the powers to another. Lightspeed Rescue had Ryan, brainwashed and corrupted by the villains to see the Rangers as an enemy, before he learns the truth and turns against his former masters.
It's fascinating how a similar concept can be interpreted in so many ways.
Wes continues to try and convince Eric to give them the Morpher. Eric leaves to once again try and get control of the Q-Rex. Eric sees the Time Force Rangers and thinks they've agreed to work for Mr. Collins. They ignore him and go to help Wes. They didn't agree to work with Mr. Collins.
The Rangers combine their Megazords and prepare to fight Q-Rex again. Commandocon grows and joins the Q-Rex. Eric learns from a computer voice in his suit that the Q-Rex is being controlled through a blocking device. His helmet detects the device and he destroys it. He now controls the Q-Rex and orders it to fight Commandocon. It transforms into a Megazord fighting mode and defeats the mutant.
The Rangers are glad the Q-Rex is out of the villains' hands, but they're wary about Eric, they don't know if he can be trusted.
At the Silver Guardians Headquarters, Eric tells Mr. Collins he's gained control of the Q-Rex. He's finally appointed to head of the Silver Guardians.

This is a great conclusion to the introduction of the Q-Rex. As an episode alone, it's pretty basic.
Alot of beats from the previous couple of episodes are repeated here, Wes confronts Eric about the morpher, Eric asks to be head of the Silver Guardians, Eric tries to gain control of the Q-Rex by yelling at it, and there's even some repetitive beats in this episode. We have two Megazord battles, with the Red Mode Time Force Megazord and the Time Shadow against Q-Rex.
Eric is finally promoted to the position he wanted. He'll provide a unique dynamic Power Rangers had rarely done, a separate Ranger with their own team working alongside but not with the other Rangers.
