Patricia was created by the same people behind Shantae. Rusty is from a game called SteamWorld Dig, a Metroid/Dig Dug kind of game. Meat Boy is a classic Indie character and is a shoe-in for this roster. Freddy is probably the most famous Indie character, and thus, a shoe-in. Clive is from Gunman Clive, very basic platformer with a unique art style, I recommend it, it's only $2. CommanderVideo is from BIT.TRIP SAGA, and he's the only Indie character with a trophy in Smash.
