Description
This was a pencil pinup piece drawn by Jon Landry. It was so incredibly detailed, it's one of those pieces I sort of ink a little bit at a time until it gets finished. And wah lah...it's done

Jon I think has a bright future in comics, so it's just a matter of him getting noticed and getting a few breaks. It won't be long before we start seeing him in print. And then we can all say "we knew him when".

Jon Landry's pencils were great, but this inking just takes it a step above. Really ups the mood. The shadow in the archway could've been problematic but you handled it beautifully. Any chance a newb colourist can give this a shot for fun?

I'll take that as a compliment. It was great fun to do, except the water. I'm still trying to figure out how to colour water well. I've just uploaded my original (non-greenified) version. I thought it was a bit of a waste of all the work I put into it.

i completely agree about john, he's a superb artist..... I remember when i first started getting online a while ago and seeing artists work online and not really being impressed by those trying to become professionals. I was one of those guys too heh=] but i see this guy's work and i want to read a comic by him..... hopefully he'll get noticed soon enough.

Nice~! I think this piece carrys the feeling and the attitude of the original comic book series... Which I hoped the CG animation version will emulate more... But, it doesn't seem like it's going to be that way...

Thanks man. And I wouldn't give up too soon on the turtles movie. At least from what I heard initially, it'll have more of a feel towards the original black & white comics...so I'll take a wait and see. Here's hoping.
