one way or another.

tinkering with some new textural techniques.
working from a book by maxine masterfield called 'painting the spirit of nature'.
saw this piece by marti m. fenker in the book and thought i'd try my hand at her(?)
technique to recreate it.
also threw in a few of my own.

The colours bring to mind a simple autaum picture.
Except the moth, which is usually a hiding creature, brings the colour straight to ther forefront.

You're getting my vote at rockgirl's contest. It feels right that something that looks like a butterfly would symbolize a new year (change). I don't agree with someone's comment that you have many fav's. That has nothing to do with voting for a fav image in a contest. I don't care if Moonbeam or Oibird enter a contest. Their popularity shouldn't lower their chance of winning a contest.

I'm not sure I like how this piece has been presented with the borders and all, but aside from that this is an awesome piece of work. The tones are mind-blowing; it is an image that sticks in my head even after I have finished looking at it. Good work.
