Description
This is a portrait of Pope Benedict XVI. He'll be the "False Prophet" that will lead to the rise of an Antichrist. He has just called for a "New World Order", which was predicted word for word in the book of Revelation in the Christian bible, as well as being born on "Holy Saturday" (the last of seven holy days before Easter). Do not however, mistake the False Prophet for the Antichrist. The False Prophet is supposed to be instrumental in bringing a large religious following to the feet of the Antichrist. According to the predictions, there will be three men that rise to power around the same time. There are already a large number of things that point to the identity of the Antichrist, and surprisingly enough, Prince Charles of Wales fits the description. I get really bad vibes from Pope Benedict XVI every time I see him. He's a creepy looking bastard, plus, this year we will see the only 06/06/06 in our lifetime. Pce. Ink & PS.Related content

I have two criticisms I would like bring. First, on the artwork:
I appreciate the contrasting use of black and white, along with the red accents. It reminds me of an old fashioned comic book. Secondly, your use of shadows and facial expressions really connote the alleged evil of your subject.
On the philosophy:
Of course, a picture of the pope will bring out all of the anti-Catholic nuts. Have any of you ever bothered to read anything the pope has written? He has called for a "New World Order," but it isn't really a new world order at all. He has called on Western people to re-discover the Christian roots of our civilization and build a culture that honors God and respects life. These writings also express great skepticism at "political messiahs" who claim that we can build a perfect world on our own without divine grace. The Antichrist will come to power by having (or appearing to have) the solutions to all our problems; the False Prophet will pave the way by encouraging us to put aside our differences and believe in man rather than God. These ideas run contrary to the teachings of this pope and every other pope before him.

Hmh. I don't know that False Prophet had revealed. Probably the pope can be him. I think taht today and all of time the church (as instytution) was chypocrytical and his hands are full of blood.
Usually tche church was a reason of many wars. Diuring the war people(of all hostile camps) are preying for victory and priests bless an army.
An antichrist is a person who denies doctrine preached by Jesus. Symbolic description of apocalypse(the lastest "book" of the Bible) 17:8-15 and 19:19-21 shows that as "Antichrist" called kingdoms, nations and organizations(prophecy psalm 2:1,2)
Finally all of members of Evil's organization will be destroied in Gad's day.

I doubt that the Pope is the Anti-Christ. But I do agree that the Vatican has become corrupt and arrogant, saying that the Pope and the Cardinals are the Voices of God when the truth is he is just a man in a funny hat.

The pope(s) are just another symbolic icon for the masses to worship.
Those who are too lazy to seek out the answers themselves are happy
to bow to this derelict remnant of the pre-christian Roman Empire...
I agree with the artist, the pope is voice box for more shadowed
agencies, using him to corral the zealots and traditionalists...
And anyone who knows any mystic symoblism can see how steeped in
occultism the Roman 'Christian' (Egyptian) church really is...

I don't believe that he's the anti-christ but it's easy to see why people hold that view. In a time when the Catholic church is growing obsolete and oudated they happen to elect a hardline Pope that's doing even more to alienate teh followers of the church.
The vast majority of practicing Catholics are living in Africa or South America. Why don't they elect a black or South American Pope?
Because it's a buisness, my friend, it's all about the cash.

Yeah, the Antichrist, the way I understand it is going to be some one who is greatly admired and already looked at by the multitudes as a wonderous leader (possibly acheiving peace in the Middle-East), gets assassinated, and "miraculously" returns to life. very good pic man, (or should i say evil pic?), i had heard he was picked as a sort of "fill-in pope"? i mean he's ancient, not going to live too long, and he's preceding what some considered the greatest pope ever, and hes just kinda funny looking....
anyways, reminds me of a pic my friend showed me, with the pope looking creepy, saying "I find ur lack of faith distrubing" as lighten shoots from his hands. lol its funny....

This is an awesome piece of work.
I get such horrible vibes from this guy. I have never ever been wrong in my opinions of a person. I guess art teaches you to see things for what they really are in the real world too.
A few nights ago I was watching Supernatural and I got mildly scared from the girl in the mirror. Then I flicked the channel and saw this guy. I almost cried.
His eyes are just... They're so full of... I don't know what you call it. They're just friggin' scary. I really really do not think he is a good person. Whether he is a pope or not. I just don't think he's a good person.
Anyway, I'm glad someone else feels this way. But if religion holds true there's nothing to be done.

I wonder who the other two people are. The Qu'ran warns of them. All coming at the same time too. It goes into a lot of depth but I've never read it completely. Aparently we'll find out who they are in our lifetime. Maybe *crosses fingers* a bit after.

Every time they do, there are several reasons they list. Has it happened yet? Nope. Hopefully it won't happen until after I'm long gone...or after my bills get a little too crazy.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My reason for saying that though was that in the Qu'ran it says that the signs of doomsday become closer and closer together "Like beads falling off a chain" they hit the floor faster and faster. And there have been many many signs in the recent years. And they will only accumulate.
I don't know what you think of Islam or anything. I'm not a muslim myself. But if you read their signs of doomsday it freaks the freaking shit out of you because you notice what's happening.
