It's ironic how many people don't care for the consequences of their actions... that's a shame, so many tragedies could be avoided by simply thinking a little. These people found it out way too late...

Yush. After he remembered his former life, he could remember those who tortured him and his mother. And he made them feel the same pain as they made Kolbe and his mother feel.
It really is, been there done that. And usually the victim is blamed and then people wonder why this tragedy happened.

Revenge is such a fascinating topic, it is very heard forgiving a person which destroys something or someone we love, or even ruins our own life. Society does often force people to do that, which is wrong as well: people should be free to at least feel their own pain.
What is good about art is that it is strong enough not only to contain emotions, but it make all of them look somehow poetic, just like ancient tragedies did.
