Description
[DISCLAIMER] - This is my first Horror story I've ever written; please don't be too harsh. Also I wrote this -BEFORE- the trailer for the sequel was released, so many concepts presented are outdated. That said, please enjoy!***
He had been living on Earth for the past few years, a deplorable planet full of anthropomorphic skinbags that treat their furred companions like slaves.
Diff hated this stupid planet, the 'humans' that dominated the place, they weren't any more intelligent than a Blaargian Snagglebeast; they couldn't even create advanced AI technology! All of their robots, what little there were, could barely act autonomously much less create their own thoughts and emotions.
He had only been living there for a few years after his home planet was destroyed by the cragmites, and the only reason he stayed was because he crash landed; Earth doesn't have the necessary resources to repair his ship, at least not at the moment. Much to his surprise, the humans were MORE than willing to pay him vast amounts of bolts for his work to repair their primitive vehicles and technology. He was on-call, a repairman who made housecalls to his clients. He also allowed clients to drive their damaged vehicles into his personal garage to be fixed.
-----
-Tuesday, November 13, 2187
Working in his garage, Diff was minding his own business as he worked a bit on a client's 1980s hatchback. Such ancient technology, it fascinated him how the humans went for so long without space-travelling tech.
His omnidevice buzzed to life with a new client.
*BONK*
"Ouch! Stupid frickin....!" he checked the device, answering the call. "D.. egh..." he rubbed his head, a hard knot formed where he bonked it. "D..Diff's Repairs... How can I help you..?" he asked, scooting out from under the car as he kept rubbing his head. He grabbed some nanotech from his desk nearby, applying it to the knot; the swelling decreased significantly, fully healing as he sighed in relief.
"Hello Mr. Eckhart. I'm Mrs. Rabendetti from Rabendetti Enterprises, I'm calling to ask for your assistance in repairing autonomous devices at a family restaurant now owned by our company. Are you familiar with Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?"
The female on the line sounded very professional, perhaps a very large paycheck was on the line! Though, Diff was less than excited to answer.
He sighed, pinching his brow. He knew Fazbear's Pizza all too well. He took a security job there when he first got settled into his home on Earth. The AI in the 'autonomous devices' was beyond corrupt, and the management was just as corrupt as the robotic characters they owned. He quit after working a week.He had no interest in returning to that filthy place.
"I... am familiar, yes." he finally responded.
"I'm sure you are familiar with the unfortunate state in which the restaurant has been in as of recent, Mr. Eckhart. The autonomous devices--
"Robots" Diff interrupted. "With all due respect, they are robots. Call them what they are, ma'am."
The woman fell silent for a brief second before continuing. "...very well, apologies for the erm, 'derogatory term'. The -robots-, as you so delicately prefer, have been left in a state of disrepair for many years. Luckily, the restaurant is now under the ownership of Rabendetti Enterprises, and we wish to have a Grand Reopening of the place. We have ordered a few new auto-- *ahem* 'robots'.. to replace the ones that have otherwise rotted away. However, we feel that at least two of the older ones are in decent enough shape to continue usage. All they would need are a few new circuits and perhaps some repairs to their AI modules are in order. Would you be willing to accept this job?"
"Well ma'am, that depends on the price." Diff responded coldly. He did NOT want to return to that place, but... money talks...
"One hundred thousand bolts, Mr. Eckhart. I'm told that is your preferred currency, as opposed to the almighty 'dollar'."
Diff nearly choked on his own spit as he heard the price. "O..One hundred...-THOUSAND-?!"
"Yes, Mr. Eckhart. We only ask that you wear the uniform we provide for the duration of your stay."
"Why? I don't work for your company."
"I've seen your work, Mr. Eckhart. And I have no qualms about paying you in large amounts of bolts. You would be a very handy addition to our team. What say you?"
"So this is a permanent job offer?"
"Of course, Mr. Eckhart. Unless you are terminated or decide to give a verbal notice of departure, that is."
"I see, I see. Alright, I could use that kind of money. I can arrive in the morning to begin repairs, that alright?"
"I see no problem with that schedule." Rabendetti replied gleefully. "See you in the morning."

-10:00 AM
"Ahh! Glad you could make it, Mr. Eckhart!" Mrs. Rabendetti greeted the lombax at the front door of the restaurant. Construction vehicles were set up in the parking lot, and there were construction workers inside the restaurant, renovating it. Diff had to admit that it was looking impressive so far.
"Yeah, just tell me where to go." Diff said coldly.
"Uhm.. r..right. This way!" She was dressed in an expensive ensemble; a fancy brown business suit, beige undershirt, and a black tie. Her hair, in a bun, was jet black. It was graying a little around the roots, showing her age.
Her heels click clacked on the tile floor as they entered the restaurant. "The autonomous devices-- err, sorry--"
"Don't worry about it"
"right, well, the three main characters, and the new ones that have arrived just recently, are in the backstage room. One of them is behind a closed curtain in the room adjacent to the dining area."
"Alright, so I can just stay backstage while I do my work?"
"Of course. None of the construction workers should bother you during the day. Oh, and be sure you are OUT of here by 12 AM, alright? The electricity has been turned on in the building and the doors auto-lock at midnight to prevent intruders. New feature since we've taken over management, you know."
"Ah, I see. And you said something about a company uniform?"
"Yes! that should be arriving overnight."
"But I haven't even told you my size or anything."
"No need, one size fits all, usually." She shrugged, leading him to the backstage room door. "Here we are, you may begin work when ready. The Grand Reopening is tomorrow morning, so you have plenty of time to work, I hope!"
"Tomorrow morning?! You... egh.. nevermind. I can do it. If that's all, I'd like to go ahead and get to work."
"Of course, Mr. Eckhart, by all means! If you need to contact me, you know my number."
"Yep."
She nodded in response before leaving Diff in peace. 'Finally', he thought to himself before closing the backstage door.
He came equipped with a dufflebag full of items, as well as his handy dandy collapsible OmniWrench. He threw the dufflebag onto a table supporting the robot animal heads, and zipped the bag open.
Inside were several different alien tools that the humans never managed to create themselves. Most of them were plasma-based, able to cut through and mold and shape even the toughest of metals.
Also inside the bag were canisters of Nanotech, another substance humans never had the mental capacity to produce. If used topically, it instantly heals any wounds it touches. If ingested, it runs through the user's system for the next 16-18 hours, automatically healing any injury as it occurs. This can be dangerous if the user is impaled, as the flesh will heal around the foreign object and render it irremovable.
Diff never liked having to grab a canister of nanotech every time he hurt himself on the job, so he quickly opened one up and poured it down his gullet. "There." he said to himself. "Now these things can't hurt me if they come to life..."
Pulling out his tools, he looked towards the lifeless corpse-like cartoon characters limply resting against the wall. Three of them were the ones he recognized from his stint as a security guard. He shuttered, starting on the purple one. "Bonnie". Bonnie the Bunny, this one creeped Diff out the most. That stupid bug-eyed stare...
-RIIIP-!
With one swift movement, Diff yanked the face off of Bonnie and tossed it aside, violently bashing the metal skull underneath with his extended wrench.
Once enough damage was dealt, it cracked open to reveal the AI chip; still perfect after all these years. "Ah. Good. No need to repair this one." He promptly installed the chip into the nearby New Bunny character, but not before making some modifications to the circuitry first. He had to make sure that thing would not come to life and try to kill him the moment it was installed.
Success! Now to fully repair the rest of the crew... he was not looking forward to this work.

Moved work to 'Pirate Cove' for change of scenery. Robot in need of assistance behind curtain. Begin work on "Foxy".
-----
Foxy was a stubborn character to work on, even as a lifeless hunk of junk. Still, he did not freak out Diff as badly as Bonnie, so he gingerly removed the Foxy head from the skeleton underneath. He then tried to be very careful when removing the torso and arm sections; this bot didn't have anything covering his legs. He remembered seeing replacement parts in the back room that had been recently ordered, so those wouldn't be that big of an issue.
To his horror, though, the skeleton's "skull" was almost completely engulfed in a crusty white substance. "Gah, crap!" Diff reeled back a bit, thankful he had on his protective gloves. "Damn, the CMD battery corroded in the AI circuit. That's some heavy duty calcifying right there. Gah... Sorry, big guy, gonna have to toss out your head..." he screwed the skull off the base of the body, tossing it in a plastic disposable bag labeled 'HAZARDOUS WASTE'. "I'll have to tell the boss about this, she probably won't like it. Maybe I can build a new skull and AI... yeah, that shouldn't take too long. I'll do it when I'm done fixing up the rest of the body." he nodded as he looked to the suit he pulled off the skeleton.
First things first, Diff focused his attention on the suit pieces he had just removed. Shining his flashlight into them, he was appalled at all of the excess metal pieces jutting through the torso and head. Broken crossbeams, gears, and guide wires were crossed in extremely inefficient fashion. "Jeez, no wonder this one died early. He could barely move!" Diff said to himself, starting to cut away at the unneccessary metal equipment. He left in vital support beams and pole joints so the skeleton could still move with the suit on easily. "Ugh, there's so much, this is gonna take me all friggin day..." he sighed, continuing his work.
-----
5:00 PM
A box is rolled into Pirate Cove, a tall wooden crate large enough to fit a human into.
Diff was working on Foxy's suit head when the crate arrived. "Whoa, what's that? A new one to replace this one? That'd be a relief.." Diff said to the construction workers. They mumbled amongst themselves before turning to the one following them; Rabendetti. "Oh! I didn't see you there, ma'am. May I ask...?"
"No, this one is not a replacement, though I heard about your actions against one of the other autonomous devices. I am not fond of the damage you caused. I will have to dock it from your pay."
"Fine, whatever, what's in the crate?" Diff's tone became cold once again.
Rabendetti wrote a few things onto a clipboard that one of the workers gave her, then returned the board to the workers who then made a beeline for the exit.
"A partner."
"Partner?"
"For this one." her foot nudged the Foxy head Diff was working on.
"Oh.. about that.. I uhmm.."
"Yes, I know about that too."
"Ma'am, it was dangerous! Besides it can't be worked on, I'm just gonna build a new AI before morning and--"
"Enough, Mr. Eckhart! Finish your work here and don't ask any more questions. You've caused enough damage for one day."
"But..!"
Rabendetti had already turned around, exiting Pirate Cove without another sound.
"Stupid human..." Diff mumbled under his breath as he returned to his work.
-----
11:55 PM
The lombax had fallen asleep in Pirate Cove. All construction workers had left.
*rumblerumble*
"MMF! AUGH..wha..?" Diff awoke with a start, looking at his watch. "Oh, crap! I never finished!" He shone his light into the head; he actually did remove all excess metal from it, as well as the rest of the suit, but he never did finish fixing Chica or building a replacement AI and skull for Foxy. Looking at the watch again, he hurriedly packed all his stuff into the dufflebag and ran towards the door.
12:00 AM
*click*
Diff slammed into the locked front doors. "DAMMIT!" he tried to call Rabendetti on his OmniDevice. Busy signal. "Of course!" he yelled angrily. Weilding his wrench, he whapped it against the glass; no dice, it was fiberglass, and his wrench bounced right back and hit his forehead with incredible strength.
*kerTHUNK*
He collapsed onto his back, dazed from hitting himself so hard.
*rumblerumble*
What was that noise? He struggled to pull himself to his feet, flicking on his flashlight as he blinked a few times to clear his vision. The whole restaurant was dark except for the flashlight, at least it was for a few moments.
Eyes.
Two brightly lit eyes illuminated the dining area, their owner moving unusually smoothly for what was surely an autonomous robot.
'Crap! I missed one! How did I miss one? I disabled all of them!' he thought to himself as he hid underneath one of the long dining area tables. He turned his flashlight off as he kept a close eye on the AI intruder. 'Who? Who is it? Who did I forget to disable?!' his thoughts raced, trying to figure out which robot could have been accidentally activated.
Freddy? No, he likes the dark. Even if he was activated, he'd avoid this room; It has the emergency light overhead...
Chica? No, her AI chip was removed altogether...
Bonnie? Maybe, but I could have sworn I kept his switch turned off...
"Oh... sh..." Diff swore under his breath as he remembered the crate Rabendetti and her crew brought into Pirate Cove. He never even bothered to check it even once! That must be the one roaming around...
The only thing Diff could make out were its horrifically glowing eyes, lighting its path as it swiftly moved around the dining area. It was searching for something. For Someone. For Diff...
Closer, closer the bot approached, as if detecting the exact spot Diff was hiding.
"No, no no no!" Panicking as flashbacks from his previous job flew through his head, Diff bolted from underneath the table.
The robot didn't even make a vocal screech like the others would, it just gave chase.
Diff banged on the front door repeatedly with his wrench, trying to smash the glass, but it was a fruitless effort. "NO! NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!" he yelled as the bot closed in. He held up his wrench in defense, threatening to swing it if the robot got too close.
It never slowed down, its unfeeling eyes staring directly into Diff's as it ran closer.
He attempted to dive past it, but tripped over the bot's outstretched leg. "NO!" he cried as he felt himself plummet to the ground. He barely had time to notice the sharp edge of the dining room table before his head collided with it...
-----
He felt himself moving, sliding along his back, but not under his own power. Something had an iron grip on his wrist and was pulling him through the restaurant.
He blinked a couple of times, his darkened surroundings coming back into view.
Front lobby
Dining area
... Pirate Cove...
The figure dragging him stopped here, keeping a firm grip on his arm as they lifted his other arm, jamming it through a tube-likestructure.
"What the...?" he looked up and over. Though the figure was still a silhouette, he could see a red plush fabric encasing his arm. There was metal inside jabbing into him, piercing the flesh and embedding itself there. "AUGH!" he shouted, trying to pull away. It wasn't painful, as the nanotech in him was still active and healing around the foreign object, but he still tried to remove it before it healed. "NNGH! STOP! PLEASE!" He yelled, but the figure didn't listen as it jammed the other arm on, nearly crushing his fingers as they were forced into a fist. A hook was on the end of this arm.
He felt both arms lifted, the torso being shoved into place now. He felt the sharp metal points he left in scrape against his face as both arms slid through their respective holes. Blood streamed from the wounds they created only for a brief few seconds before the nanotech healed them shut. He tried desperately to remove the suit being forcefully applied, pulling at it with his bloody hand and metal hook, but to no avail.
He nearly blacked out as he felt the suit head crammed over his head in one fell swoop. He wanted to scream in agony, but something had damaged his vocal cords; a sharp metal beam jutting from the lower jaw had impaled Diff's neck, severing the vocal cords. He tried to make sound, but even as the nanotech healed them, the most he could muster was a faint gravelly whisper. He felt the suit's jaw move with his own, his snout forced into it uncomfortably as a few crosswires cut into his nose, the skin forming around the wiring as it healed.
His ears poked out of the holes atop the head at first, but soon those were impaled with Foxy's own ears. They stayed firmly in place when the nanotech healed around the holes they created. They even wiggled as Diff's ears wiggled.
With one eye hole covered with the eyepatch, Diff couldn't catch a good look at the one who put him in this predicament. He tried and tried to remove the suit pieces, but they were firmly embedded into his body.
He felt his blood trickle down his fur, and though all wounds had healed, he had lost quite a bit of the red stuff. He felt himself become light headed, the already-dark room around him starting to become very dim.
*kerTHUNK*
He collapsed again, passing out from blood loss.

-6:00 AM
He heard the Winchester chimes first, that's what woke him up. He blinked slowly, still only able to see from his left eye. He was standing, but he could not move. Ahead of him was the purple Pirate Cove curtain. He couldn't turn his head to view the rest of his surroundings.
The bax could feel something covering his legs, feet, and even tail. They weren't being pierced like his upper body, though.
The curtain opens! Diff finds himself staring directly at a smug-faced Rabendetti. "Ah, I see the new addition must have missed her partner." she said, walking around Diff to see his entire form. "Cleaned you up nicely too, if I may add." she nodded, running a finger along his chest. "Wow, even sewed you up! I'm impressed!"
Diff tried his damdnest to provide a noise, but all he could produce was a huff of air from his nose. His mouth was forced shut by the suit's jaw for now. "Remember Mr. Eckhart, wear the uniform at all times while on Rabendetti property, alright?" she gave a sly grin as another figure entered his field of vision.
Another fox robot, much like the new Bonnie bot, but a female fox instead. "Your new partner likes you, I see! You two are going to have a lot of fun together, I can tell." She giggled. "Ah, almost forgot." Rabendetti reached around Diff, flipping a switch located on the Foxy suit's back.
Diff felt himself move again, and he immediately attempted to rip the suit off.
"Ah ah ah!" she flipped a second switch, this time the suit moved on its own, taking Diff along for the ride. The jaw opened and closed, the arms swung around, and the torso moved side-to-side, all in sync to a voice box located in the snout emitting a jaunty pirate tune.
He couldn't move of his own accord except his legs, which he used to try to leave the building.
Much to his dismay, the suit's movements became stiff the moment he left the stage, rendering escape impossible.
"Do not attempt to leave, Mr. Eckhart. That would just break your partner's heart!" She picked him up, returning him to the stage. "You just stay here like a good Foxy and rake in the cash! Your return is going to be the biggest thing this business has ever seen. And, don't worry, we'll still feed you. Caring for an organic life form is much less expensive than caring for a robot, wouldn't you agree? hehe. Tata, Mr. Eckhart! Thank you for all your work!" she waved as she left, taunting the trapped Diff as he stood motionless.
As he saw the line of customers waiting to enter, he only hoped this restaurant would go out of business again...
